Reception of digital satellite signals
Dear customer,
to use the satellite receiver you will need a suitable satellite antenna which must
be installed and aligned with the desired satellite (for example Astra).
Please notice that a universal LNC of digital technology is required for the
reception of digital satellite channels.
In contrast to the transmission of analog satellite signals, no own transmission
frequency is assigned to each TV or radio channel, but several channels are
assigned to one carrier (transponder).
Several of the 2000 channel positions available on this satellite receiver have
been pre-programmed with all the required settings to simplify the selection and
the associated satellite channel settings.
The TV or radio »Channel List« menu states which satellite channels have been
pre-programmed.
New satellite channels are continuously added or satellite data is changed.
For this reason, this satellite receiver is equipped with the latest technology to
enable you to update the receiver’s software via the ASTRA satellite (software
download).
If necessary, you may update again and again the “TV” and “Radio” channel
lists as well as the main software of this satellite receiver.
Naturally “new” satellite channels can also be programmed manually.
The current satellite data can be called up from different stations (e.g. SAT1 or
3SAT), taken from the Internet or a current satellite journal.
