Receiving encoded satellite stations
This digital receiver has a Common Interface (CI) slot and a slot for
smart cards (CONAX encoding system, channel “Canal Digital”).
The Common Interface allows you to connect CI modules for various
encoding systems.
Encoded channels can only be viewed with a CI module suitable for
the encoding system and the appropriate smart card.
It contains all the functions for authorisation, decoding and sub-
scription for various satellite channels of different providers.
Common Interface
1 Insert the CI module in the slot.
2 Push the smart card into the CI module or the top slot with the
chip (the gold square) facing up.
Notes:
Push the module carefully into the slot. Do not use force and
make sure the module is straight.
Follow the operating instructions for the CI module.
3 In the main menu, select »Conditional Access« with »
ľ VOL«
or »ı VOL« and press »OK« to confirm.
4 Press »CH
Ľ« or »CH Ń« to select the submenu and press
»OK« to confirm.
– A submenu generated by the CI module appears on the
screen.
– For more information on using the CI module, see the menus
shown or its instruction manual.
5 Press »EXIT« to finish the setting.
