If the button cell is accidentally swallowed, it

can lead to burns and even death within two

hours. You should therefore see a doctor im-

mediately.

Keep new and used batteries out of reach of

children. If the battery compartment cannot be

closed safely, do not continue to use the device

and keep out of reach of children.

Remove the battery if used up or if you do not

use the device for a long time. We do not as-

sume liability for damage caused by leaked

batteries.

The batteries, even those free from heavy met-

als, must not be disposed of as domestic waste.

Used batteries must be discarded in used bat-

tery collection containers found at commercial

or public waste management services.

You must never open the Soundbar. In case

of damage due to improper tampering, any

claims for guarantee are lost.

Storms are a danger to any electronic device.

Even if the Soundbar is switched off, it may still

become damaged as a result of lightning strik-

ing the mains. In case of a storm, you must al-

ways pull the mains plug.

Notes:

Do not connect any devices when your de-

vice is switched on. Also switch the other de-

vices off before connecting them!

Do not plug the mains plug of your device

into the socket until all external devices have

been connected!

Please ensure that the mains plug is freely ac-

cessible!

RF Exposure Warning

This equipment must be installed and operated

in acordance with provided manual. The de-

vice comprised a built-in antenna, and must not

be co-located or operating in conjunction with

any other antenna or transmitter.

Please read the following instructions before as-

sembly:

The Soundbar is designed for audio playback.

All other uses are expressly excluded.

If you want to set up the Soundbar on shelv-

ing units, in cupboards, etc., please ensure that

there is adequate ventilation. There must be a

free area of at least 10 cm on either side and

above the Soundbar.

Do not cover the Soundbar with newspapers,

tablecloths, curtains, etc.

When setting up the Soundbar, please note

that furniture surfaces may be covered with

various finishes or synthetic materials that often

contain chemical substances. These substances

can attack the material of the unit base among

other things. This can leave residues on the fur-

niture surface, which may be difficult or impos-

sible to remove.

If the Soundbar is subjected to big variations

in temperature, for example when transported

from a cold to a warm place, do not use the

Soundbar for at least two hours.

The Soundbar is designed to be used in dry

rooms. Should you nevertheless decide to

operate it outdoors, you must ensure that it is

protected from moisture (dripping or splashing

water).

Only use the Soundbar in a temperate climate.

Do not place the Soundbar close to a radiator

or in direct sunlight; this can affect the cooling

system.

Do not place any containers with liquids inside

(e.g. vases) on top of the Soundbar.

Do not place any open sources of fire (e.g. can-

dles) on top of the Soundbar.

Do not use any cleaning agents; these may

damage the casing. Cleanse the device using

a clean and dry cloth.

Do not expose the battery to extreme heat,

such as for example sunlight, radiators, fire, etc.

The remote control contains a button cell.

Please always keep the remote control and the

button cell out of reach of children.

Preparation

Activate the remote control battery

1 Remove protection film from the battery com-

partment.

– The remote control is now functional.

Change remote control batteries

(TYPE AAA)

Note:

If your device no longer responds to the

remote control commands, the battery may

be dead. It is imperative that dead batteries

be removed. We do not assume liability for

damage caused by leaked batteries.

Caution:

Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly

replaced. Replace only with the same or

equivalent type.

1 Hold the remote control with the back side fac-

ing up.

2 Push the detent of the battery holder to the right

and remove battery holder.

3 Remove used battery and insert new battery

into the battery holder, positive pole facing up-

ward.

4 Push battery holder into the remote control until

it clicks into place.

Connecting

Connect Soundbar to the LCD TV

1 Connect a standard audio lead to the

»AUX INPUT« jacks of the Soundbar.

– Please be aware of the left and right chan-

nels when doing so (white = left channel,

red = right channel).

2 Connect audio lead to the audio output jacks

of the LCD TV.

Connect external device

An external device, such as a MP3-Player for ex-

ample, can be connected to the »AUX IN« jack.

1 Connect a standard audio lead to the

»AUX IN« jack of the Soundbar.

PREPARATION/CONNECTION

2 Connect adapter cable to the external device.

Note:

The LCD TV can also be connected via the

»AUX IN« jack if it is not equipped with au-

dio output jacks. In such cases please use the

headphone jack.

Connect mains cable

Check that the mains voltage indicated on the

type label (on the back of the device) corre-

sponds to the local mains voltage. If this is not the

case, please consult your specialist dealer.

1 Plug mains cable plug into the socket

(100 - 240V

50/60Hz).

Caution:

The Soundbar is connected to the mains via

the mains cable. If you want to disconnect

the Soundbar from the mains completely,

you must pull the mains plug.

Please ensure that the mains cable is freely

accessible during operation and is not ob-

structed by any other objects.

Subwoofer Connection

1 Make sure the AC power cord is connected to

a power supply securely.

2 Subwoofer have the wireless bluetooth to

receive the audio signal from the sound bar.

When the blue indicator flashing, the subwoof-

er is in searching bluetooth signal status, the

blue indicator keeps lighting means bluetooth

was connected, if the subwoofer can not con-

nect with the soundbase automatically, please

press pair button on the rear panel of subwoof-

er to reconnect.

3 The subwoofer will memories the sound bar

and repaired automatically when you power

off the subwoofer then power on.

WALL MOUNTING

In order to prevent injuries,the sound base device

must be securely fasten to the wall in accordance

with the below installation instructions.

Caution:

The ground must be firm and capable of han-

dling the load.

Use mountings that are appropriate for the

weight of the device.

For wooden or hollow wall structures use suit-

able plugs and screws. Seek advice from a

specialist dealer.

Warning:

In order to prevent injuries, the device must

be securely fastened to the wall in accord-

ance with the installation instructions.

Note:

Installation of the Soundbar DSB 990 2.1

for professional use (e.g. in a bistro) must

only be carried out by an electrically quali-

fied person, in accordance with the appli-

cable construction regulations as per VDE

0100.

1 Drill the two holes(about 6mm diameter ) in the

wall and keep the distance between drill holes

of the sound base is 500mm.

2 Insert the two plugs supplied into two

drilled holes and then insert two screws

supplied into two holes and tighten.

3 Take care to leave 4 mm between the screw

heads and wall.

6 Use the assembled sound base to hang on the

setscrews on the wall .

AUX IN/LINE IN

This sound base have two extra groups of audio

input terminals. You can input the analogue stereo

audio signals from extra devices such as VCD, CD,

VCR, DVD player, etc.

Use the audio cable to connect the stereo audio

output terminals of a VCD, CD, VCR,DVD player

to the stereo input terminals AUX IN/LINE IN of

this sound base.

Its corresponding signal source is AUX IN/LINE IN

which can be available by pressing [SOURCE] on

the remote control.

Optical Input

1 Connect a commercially available optical ca-

ble to the »OPTICAL« jack of the Soundbar.

2 Connect the optical cable to the sound output

socket of the LCD TV (optical, PCM signal).

Note:

The TV audio output must be set to PCM.

ARC(AUDIO RETURN CHANNEL)

ARC is audio return channel function,it is used in

digital audio output of liquidcrystal display televi-

sion in order to get the optimal synchronous sound

quality.

Use the HDMI cable to connect the HDMI-ARC in-

put port of this sound base to the ARC output port

of the liquid-crystal display television.

device was not deleted.

In bluetooth mode, »eII«, » «, » «, »+«,

»–« etc. are also active.

Remote control operation

1 Insert the batteries into the remote control.

2 Point the remote control at the remote sensor on

the front panel.

3 The sound base is in searching bluetooth signal

status.

4 The remote control works within a distance of

about 8 metres from the sensor and within an

angle of about 30 degrees from the left and

right side.

Battery installation

1 Remove the battery compartment cover on the

back of the remote control.

2 Load one AAA/1.5V battery into the battery

compartment making sure that the battery have

been inserted with the correct polarities match-

ing the symbols +, - as indicated inside the bat-

tery compartment.

3 Replace the cover.

Note:

Remove the battery when you do not intend

to use the remote control for a long time.

Weak batteries can leak and severely dam-

age the remote control.

The battery must not be exposed to exces-

sive heat source, such as sunshine, fire or any

other things like that.

Be environmentally friendly and dispose of

batteries according to your government reg-

ulations.

Bitte machen Sie sich vor dem Aufstellen mit den

folgenden Hinweisen vertraut:

Die Soundbar ist zur Audiowiedergabe vorge-

sehen. Sämtliche sonstigen Anwendungen sind

ausdrücklich ausgeschlossen.

Wenn Sie die Soundbar auf einem Regal, in

einem Schrank oder an ähnlichen Stellen auf-

stellen möchten, achten Sie auf gute Belüftung.

An den Seiten und über der Soundbar müssen

mindestens 10 cm Platz verbleiben.

Decken Sie die Soundbar nicht mit Zeitungen,

Tüchern, Vorhängen und dergleichen ab.

Beachten Sie beim Aufstellen der Soundbar,

dass viele Möbeloberflächen mit unterschied-

lichen Lackierungen oder synthetischen Ma-

terialien überzogen sind, die oft chemische

Substanzen enthalten. Solche Substanzen kön-

nen das Material der Soundbar, insbesondere

die Unterseite angreifen. Dadurch wiederum

können Flecken auf Möbeln entstehen, die sich

nur mit Mühe oder gar nicht entfernen lassen.

Falls die Soundbar starken Temperaturschwan-

kungen ausgesetzt wird, zum Beispiel, wenn

sie von einem kalten zu einem warmen Ort ge-

bracht wird, schalten Sie die Soundbar mindes-

Die Soundbar darf nur in trockenen Räumen

Nutzen Sie die Soundbar nicht unter widrigen

Wetterbedingungen.

Stellen Sie die Soundbar nicht in der Nähe von

Heizungen und nicht im prallen Sonnenlicht

auf; dies kann die notwendige Kühlung verhin-

dern.

Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeiten gefüllten Be-

hälter (z. B. Vasen) auf die Soundbar.

Halten Sie offene Flammen (z. B. Kerzen) von

der Soundbar fern, stellen Sie nichts auf der

Soundbar ab.

Dieses Gerät muss wie in der mitgelieferten

Bedienungsanleitung beschrieben aufgestellt

und betrieben werden. Das Gerät besitzt eine

anderen Antennen oder Sendern aufgestellt

und betrieben werden.

Vorbereitungen

Fernbedienungsbatterie aktivieren

1 Entfernen Sie die Schutzfolie aus dem Batterie-

fach.

– Die Fernbedienung ist nun einsatzbereit.

Fernbedienungsbatterie wechseln

(TYP AAA)

Hinweis:

Falls das Gerät nicht mehr auf die Fernbe-

dienung reagiert, ist vermutlich die Batterie

leer. Verbrauchte Batterien müssen sofort

herausgenommen werden, da sie zum Aus-

laufen neigen. Wir haften nicht für Schäden,

die durch ausgelaufene Batterien entstehen.

Achtung:

Bei falsch eingelegter Batterie bestehen

Brand- und Explosionsgefahr. Tauschen Sie

die Batterie nur gegen eine frische Batterie

vom selben Typ aus.

1 Halten Sie die Fernbedienung so, dass die

Rückseite nach oben zeigt.

2 Schieben Sie die Sperre am Batteriehalter

nach rechts, nehmen Sie den Batteriehalter he-

raus.

3 Nehmen Sie die verbrauchte Batterie heraus,

legen Sie eine frische Batterie mit der Plus-Seite

(+) nach oben in den Batteriehalter ein.

4 Schieben Sie den Batteriehalter wieder in die

Fernbedienung, achten Sie darauf, dass der

Halter einrastet.

Anschließen

Soundbar mit einem Fernsehgerät

verbinden

1 Schließen Sie ein handelsübliches Audiokabel

an die

»AUX INPUT«-Eingänge der Soundbar an.

– Achten Sie dabei darauf, dass linker und

rechter Kanal richtig angeschlossen werden:

Weiß = links. Rot = rechts.

2 Schließen Sie das Audiokabel an die Audio-

ausgänge des Fernsehgerätes an.

VORBEREITUNGEN/ANSCHLUSS

Externe Geräte anschließen

Externe Geräte wie MP3-Player verbinden Sie mit

dem »AUX IN«-Eingang.

1 Schließen Sie ein handelsübliches Audiokabel

an den »AUX IN«-Eingang der Soundbar an.

2 Verbinden Sie das Adapterkabel mit dem ex-

ternen Gerät.

Hinweis:

Sie können das Fernsehgerät auch an den

»AUX IN«-Eingang anschließen, falls die

Audioausgänge nicht zum anderen Eingang

passen oder gänzlich fehlen. In solchen Fäl-

len verwenden Sie den Kopfhöreranschluss

als Ausgang.

Netzkabel anschließen

Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die auf dem Typen-

schild (an der Rückwand des Gerätes) angege-

bene Spannung mit Ihrer Netzspannung überein-

stimmt. Falls nicht, wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren

Fachhändler.

1 Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die Steckdose

(100 - 240V

50/60Hz).

Achtung:

Die Soundbar erhält ihre Versorgungsspan-

nung über das Netzkabel. Wenn Sie die

Soundbar komplett vom Netz trennen möch-

ten, müssen Sie den Netzstecker ziehen.

Sorgen Sie dafür, dass das Netzkabel im

Betrieb stets frei zugänglich bleibt, nichts da-

rauf abgestellt wird.

Subwoofer-Verbindung

1 Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Netzkabel sicher

an eine Steckdose angeschlossen ist.

2 Der Subwoofer lässt sich kabellos per Bluetooth

verbinden, um Audiosignale von der Soundbar

zu empfangen. Wenn die blaue Anzeige blinkt,

sucht der Subwoofer Bluetooth-Signale. Wenn

die blaue Anzeige dauerhaft leuchtet, wurde

die Bluetooth-Verbindung hergestellt. Falls der

Subwoofer nicht automatisch eine Verbindung

zur Soundbar herstellen kann, drücken Sie zum

Wiederverbinden bitte die Kopplungstaste an

der Rückseite des Subwoofers.

3 Der Subwoofer speichert die Soundbar und

koppelt sich erneut automatisch, wenn Sie den

Subwoofer aus- und wieder einschalten.

Damit es nicht zu Verletzungen kommt, muss die

Soundbar-Halterung felsenfest an der Wand an-

gebracht werden. Halten Sie sich dabei unbe-

dingt an die folgenden Hinweise.

Achtung:

Der Untergrund muss stabil sein und das Ge-

wicht des Gerätes spielend tragen können.

Benutzen Sie ausschließlich auf das Gewicht

des Gerätes abgestimmtes Befestigungsma-

terial.

Verwenden Sie bei Holz- oder Hohlraum-

wänden immer die dazu passenden Dübel

und Schrauben. Lassen Sie sich vom Fach-

händler beraten.

Warnung:

Damit es nicht zu Verletzungen oder Sach-

schäden kommt, muss das Gerät unbedingt

gemäß Installationsanleitung ordnungsge-

mäß an der Wand fixiert werden.

Hinweis:

Die Soundbar DSB 990 2.1 zum professio-

nellen Einsatz (z. B. in der Gastronomie) darf

nur von Elektrofachkräften installiert werden.

Dabei sind die zutreffenden Bestimmungen

der VDE 0100 zum Einrichten von Nieder-

spannungsanlagen einzuhalten.

1 Bohren Sie zwei Löcher (etwa 6 mm Durch-

messer) mit einem Abstand von 500 mm in die

Wand.

2 Schieben Sie die beiden mitgelieferten Dübel

in die gebohrten Löcher, drehen Sie dann die

beiden mitgelieferten Schrauben in die Dübel,

ziehen Sie die Schrauben an.

3 Achten Sie darauf, dass die Schraubenköpfe

noch 4 mm aus der Wand ragen.

4 Setzen Sie die mitgelieferte Wandhalte-

rungen in den Sockel der Soundbar ein.

5 Fixieren Sie die Halterungen mit den mitgelie-

ferten Halterungsschrauben.

6 Hängen Sie die Halterungen mitsamt Sound-

bar in die Schrauben an der Wand ein.

AUX IN/LINE IN

Ihre Soundbar ist mit zwei zusätzlichen Audioein-

gängen ausgestattet. Sie können analoge Stereo-

signalquellen von externen Geräten wie DVD-,

VCD-, CD-Playern, Videorecordern und anderen

Analogquellen einspeisen.

Schließen Sie die Stereoausgänge des externen

Gerätes (also DVD-, VCD-, CD-Player, Videore-

corder etc.) an die AUX IN/LINE IN-Eingänge

der Soundbar an.

Zur Wiedergabe wählen Sie den AUX IN/LINE

IN-Eingang mit der -Taste an der Fernbedienung.

Optischer Eingang

Soundbar an das LCD Fernsehgerät

anschließen (digitales Tonsignal)

1 Handelsübliches optisches Kabel an die Buch-

se »OPTICAL« der Soundbar anschließen.

2 Optisches Kabel an die Tonausgangs-Buchse

des LCD-Fernsehgerätes (optisch, PCM-Signal)

anschließen.

Hinweis:

Der Tonausgang des Fernsehgerätes muss

auf »PCM« eingestellt werden.

Soundbar an das LCD Fernsehgerät

anschließen (analoges Tonsignal)

1 Handelsübliches Audiokabel an die Buchsen

»R – AUX IN – L« der Soundbar anschließen.

Hierbei linken und rechten Kanal beachten

(weiß = linker Kanal, rot = rechter Kanal).

2 Audiokabel an die Tonausgangs-Buchsen des

LCD-Fernsehgerätes anschließen.

Hinweis:

Entsprechende Einstellungen für den analo-

gen Tonausgang am Fernsehgerät wählen.

ARC (Audiorückkanal)

Der ARC-Anschluss wird bei digitalen Audio-

quellen zur Synchronisierung von Bild und Ton

eingesetzt: Bei vielen modernen Fernsehgeräten

kommt es bedingt durch aufwendige interne Sig-

nalverarbeitung sonst vor, dass Bild und Ton nicht

synchron ausgegeben werden.

Bluetooth-Modus

Ihr neues Gerät

lässt sich mit so gut

wie sämtlichen ak-

tuellen Bluetooth-

fähigen Geräten koppeln – also mit Smartpho-

nes, Notebooks, Tablets und vielen weiteren

Geräten.

1 Schalten Sie die Soundbar mit der Bereit-

schaftstaste »8« ein.

2 Schalten Sie mit der Quelle-Taste » « in

den Bluetooth-Modus um.

– Das Bluetooth-Symbol blinkt im Display.

3 Die Soundbar sucht jetzt nach Bluetooth-Signa-

len.

4 Suchen Sie am z. B. Smartphone nach dem

Bluetooth-Signal der Soundbar.

5 Wählen Sie „Grundig Connected Soundbar“

aus der Liste mit gefundenen Geräten.

6 Sobald die Bluetooth-Verbindung zwischen ex-

ternem Gerät und Soundbar hergestellt wurde,

leuchtet das Bluetooth-Symbol im Display dau-

erhaft.

7 Zum Trennen beenden Sie die Bluetooth-Ver-

bindung am Smartphone.

Hinweis:

Bluetooth-Signale reichen etwa 10 m weit.

Das externe Gerät merkt sich die Verbindung

mit der „Grundig Soundbar 2.1“.

Im Bluetooth-Modus können »eII«, » «, »

«, »+«, »–« etc. ebenfalls genutzt wer-

den.

Fernbedienung

1 Legen Sie die Batterie in die Fernbedienung

ein.

2 Richten Sie die Fernbedienung grob auf den

Fernbedienungssensor an der Front.

3 Die Soundbar sucht nach Bluetooth-Signalen.

4 Die Fernbedienung funktioniert bis zu einem

Abstand von etwa 8 m zum Sensor, die Signa-

le werden in einem Winkel von etwa 30 ° in

sämtliche Richtungen empfangen.

Batterie einlegen

1 Nehmen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel an der

Rückseite der Fernbedienung ab.

2 Legen Sie eine AAA-Batterie (1,5 V) richtig

herum in das Batteriefach ein. Orientieren Sie

sich dabei an den Symbolen „+“ und „–“ im

Batteriefach.

3 Setzen Sie den Deckel wieder auf.

Hinweis:

Nehmen Sie die Batterie heraus, wenn Sie

die Fernbedienung längere Zeit nicht benut-

zen.

Verbrauchte Batterien können auslaufen, die

Fernbedienung (und alles, was in der Nähe

liegt) schwer beschädigen.

Sorgen Sie dafür, dass Batterien niemals

hohen Temperaturen ausgesetzt werden –

Heizungen, offene Flammen, pralles Sonnen-

licht und dergleichen.

Zeigen Sie ein kleines Herz für unsere Um-

welt, entsorgen Sie Batterien nach Vorschrift.
