GRUNDIG environment initiative
GRUNDIG has completely dispensed with plastics in the packing
material for this car radio. All parts are made of cardboard and
paper and can be disposed of within the existing paper recycling
system.
Special features of your radio
Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB)
Your CHALLENGE 530 DAB is provided with a DAB programme
source which enables a crystal-clear radio reception in CD quality,
that is without noise and crackling.
DAB radio programmes are grouped on regional and national level
in so-called ensembles, one ensemble comprising several pro-
grammes which are broadcast on one frequency. One programme
can comprise in addition several subprogrammes (secondary ser-
vice components), such as live broadcasts, or news in foreign lan-
guages.
DAB programmes are broadcast on Band III (174-240 MHz) and
on the L-Band (1452-1492 MHz).
Theft protection
The CHALLENGE 530 DAB is equipped with two theft-protection
options: coding and removable control unit (Double Security
System).
The identity card of your car radio contains the type, the serial
number and the code number for coding. The serial number is also
embossed in the frame of the radio.
