Locking the settings (PIN)
You can enter a PIN number to protect the settings from
unauthorised access. The default PIN is 0000. A PIN
number is always needed to access the answering
machine by remote enquiry.
Note:
Make sure you remember your new PIN. If you have
forgotten your PIN, contact the hotline, see page 70.
Entering a new PIN
1 Open the menu by pressing the »Menu« function
button on the right.
2 Select »Settings« with »

« or »R« activate
with the »OK« function button on the right.
3 Select »Base Set« with »
ĿĿ
« or »
ĭĭ
« and press the
»OK« function button on the right to activate.
4 Select »Change PIN« with »

« and press the
»OK« function button on the right to activate.
5 Enter the new PIN in four-digits with »1...0« and
confirm with the »OK« function button on the right.
Note:
If you make an error, you can delete the last letter
with the »➔« function button on the left.
6 Repeat the entry with »1...0« and confirm with the
»OK« function button on the right.
7 Press » « to conclude the setting.
