Remote message enquiry
The answering machine can be checked and operat-
ed from an external telehone.
However, you can only do this if the answering
machine is switched on and the “Remote control”
function is activated.
If you want to delete a message from a remote loca-
tion, the “Delete by remote” function must be activat-
ed (see section on “Settings for remote enquiry” on
page 52).
If the answering machine is switched off and the
“Remote control” function is on, then the answering
machine accepts an incoming call after the tenth
ring. Then you enter the PIN.
Using the answering machine from a
remote location
1 Call your own phone number.
– Listen to your recorded message.
2 While the message is playing, press »
*
«, then
enter the three-digit TAD-PIN (default 123) with
»0« to »9«.
– You will hear a long tone and the recorded mes-
sages are played.
3 During playback, you can use the remote enquiry
functions, see “Remote enquiry functions”.
Notes:
If you enter the PIN incorrectly, the answering
machine switches off and you have to repeat the
call.
The answering machine also switches off if it takes
longer than ten seconds to select a function.
If a second or third digit is necessary when you are
choosing a function, press it within four seconds.
