Note: Wash the grill grate (2)
with warm water and mild deter-
gent before first use.
Note: Heat the product before
using it for the first time. The fuel
must be heated for at least 30
minutes until red-hot.
Note: Do not put the food on
the grill for cooking until the fuel
is covered with a layer of ash!
1. Remove the grill grate (2).
2. Pile up part of the fuel in the
fire bowl (3).
3. Place one or two pieces of sol-
id kindling on the pile you’ve
made. Light these from above.
4. Let the solid kindling burn for 2
to 4 minutes. Fill the fire bowl
with fuel little by little.
5. Spread the fuel evenly in the
fire bowl using a suitable metal
tool.
6. Hang the grill grate with the
aid of the grill grate handle
(2a, fig. D) into one of the
three tiers of the fire guard (1)
and start grilling.
Note: Always wear grilling
gloves when you touch the grill
grate.
Open and close the ventilation
control (7) according to how
much heat is needed. The further
you open the ventilation control,
the more air enters so that the
temperature inside rises.
Storage, cleaning
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
Improper handling of the product
can lead to personal injuries.
• The product gets very hot.
Never touch it with your bare
hands. Use suitable grilling
gloves.
• Allow the product to dry com-
pletely before cleaning each
time.
WARNING!
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the product
and its fuel can lead to personal
injury as well as the risk of fire.
• Never dump hot ashes or
embers. Wait until they have
cooled down completely.
• After grilling never pour cold
water directly onto the embers
to extinguish them. Otherwise
you might damage the product.
• Dispose of the cold ashes and
clean the product after use
each time.
• Remove the grill grate (2) and
clean it thoroughly by rinsing
with water. Then dry it thor-
oughly.
• Dump the remaining ashes out
of the ash compartment (8)
• Remove any loose deposits on
the outside of the product with
a wet sponge.
• When not in use, always store
the product clean and dry at
room temperature.
IMPORTANT! Never clean the
product with harsh cleaning
agents.
Disposal
Dispose of the product and
packaging materials in
accordance with current
local regulations. Store the pack-
aging materials (foil bags, for
example) out of the reach of
children. For further information
about disposal of the product no
longer needed, contact your
local council. Dispose of the
product and the packaging in an
environmentally friendly manner.
The Recycling Code distin-
guishes different materials to
be returned for recycling.
The Code consists of the recy-
cling symbol for the recycling
process and a number that
identifies the material.
