Medição de correntes alternadas (AC)
As medições de correntes alternadas (AC) são normalmente apresentados
como valores RMS (raiz média quadrática). Dois dos métodos de medida
em corrente alternada são a
calibração RMS com resposta à média e os
valores de verdadeiro valor eficaz (true RMS).
O método de calibração RMS com resposta à média utiliza o valor médio
do sinal de entrada após a rectificação completa da onda, multiplica-a por
1,11 e apresenta depois o resultado. Este método é suficientemente
preciso, se o sinal de entrada for uma onda sinusoidal pura. O Greenlee
DM-310 é um aparelho de medida com resposta à média.
O método de medida de verdadeiro valor eficaz (RMS) utiliza os circuitos
internos para efectuar a leitura do valor RMS. Este método é
suficientemente preciso, dentro das limitações do factor de pico
especificado, quer o sinal de entrada seja uma onda sinusoidal, uma onda
quadrada, uma onda dente-de-serra, uma meia onda ou um sinal com
harmónicas. A capacidade para efectuar leituras de valores de verdadeiro
valor eficaz (RMS) assegura uma maior versatilidade da medição. Os
aparelhos Greenlee DM-300 e DM-330 e DM-350 efectuam medições de
verdadeiro valor eficaz (RMS).
