The refrigerator has fully automatic defro-
sting controlled by a sensor and refrigerati-
on is started only when the refrigerating
element has been completely defrosted.
If an unusual amount of frost should col-
lect, manual defrosting is possible by
switching off refrigeration at the control.
Switch off refrigeration as described in the
section concerning switching off for clea-
ning/defrostning.
The refrigerator is best cleaned with a
weak soap solution (max. 85°C). Never
use cleaning agents that might scratch.
Clean the sealing strip around the door
regularly to prevent discolouration and pro-
long its life.
Remove dust and threads from the com-
pressor compartment with a vacuum clea-
ner.
The refrigerator is to remain unused for
a time
After the refrigerator has been defrosted
and cleaned, leave the door slightly ajar.
This will prevent bad smells.
Compressor does not run
- Check the temperature setting.
- Check to ensure that power is switched
on and that the plug has been properly
inserted into the wall socket.
Unfamiliar sounds
Can be caused by tubes in the appliance
contacting each other or the outer clad-
ding.
- Check to make sure the refrigerator is
standing level.
The short shelf can be tilted and used
as a bottle shelf. To tilt the shelf, lower the
rear bearer down to the next shelf support.
Special to cabinets with chilling com-
partment
The refrigerator/chiller is divided into a
refrigeration compartment and a chilling
compartment by a glass shelf with air
damper. To preserve the division into refri-
geration and chilling compartments, the
shelf and the bottle shelf positioned oppo-
site it in the door must not be moved.
The temperature in the chilling compart-
ment can be regulated with the damper .
The more the damper is opened, the
greater becomes the flow of cold air from
the refrigeration compartent down into the
chilling compartment.
Vegetable drawers
The drawers in the bottom of the refrigera-
tor are very suitable for storing fruit and
vegetables. The overlying shelf covers the
drawer and prevents stored items from
drying out.
Serving boxes in the door
The boxes are ideal for all kinds of food.
The tight-fitting lids prevent drying out and
save much time in tedious wrapping and
unwrapping.
The serving boxes are made of material
that is not affected by mineral oil, fats and
weak acids. They withstand temperatures
below 0°C and up to 100°C and can be
cleaned in a dishwasher, but must never
be placed close to the heating element.
Serving boxes can also be purchased as
accessories.
Bottle shelves in the door
The bottle shelf can be adjusted in height
by moving the special fitting to another set
of holes in the shelf .
The bottle shelf can be adjusted in steps of
10 cm.
