F11 If the display alternates between temperature and F11, there are problems
with the control. Service assistance should be requested immediately.
Meanwhile the cabinet will itself try to maintain the set temperature.
Temperature alarm
If the temperature is a certain number of degrees higher or lower than cabinet
setting, the temperature display flashes to indicate an alarm.
Placing many warm items in the cabinet or leaving the door open frequently or for
long periods can cause a temperature rise, an alarm, and a flashing display.
This is all quite normal and does not mean there are problems with the cabinet. After
a short time the temperature will return to normal.
Manual defrost (see section on defrosting) can also trigger an alarm, in that the
displayed temperature will rise for a short time and then fall again - but without the
items in the cabinet being affected.
Defrosting
Normal defrosting occurs automatically twice each 24 hours. In addition, the cabinet
will defrost in connection with time or temperature-controlled chilling - and changing
over to the storage program. If the cabinet is under extreme load (frequent door
opening and frequent replacement of items) manual defrost might become
necessary. Such defrosting can be performed by briefly starting and stopping either
the time program or chilling program.
Defrost water
Defrost water is led through a pipe in the insulation to a tray under the cabinet. A
heating element in the tray evaporates the water.
It can be necessary to clean the tray from time to time (minimum once a year).
Door closing mechanism and
footpedal
The door is equipped with a self-closing system which can be adjusted for tension as
follows:
- Remove the screw in the self-closing bar.
- Turn the bar 90°.
- Hold the door pin with a wrench.
- Move the self-closing bar to the next pin hole.
- Refit the screw.
If required, the closing mechanism can be disengaged by lifting the self-closing bar
out of the guide on the door.
The door can be opened by using the foot pedal. This leaves both hands free when
filling the cabinet.
