The control panel is positioned behind the door at
the top of the cabinet. The switch furthest to the
right starts the freezer. The green lamp lights up,
showing that power is on. The thermostat knob can
be set from 1 (warmest) to 7 (coldest).
When the appliance is started the thermostat
should be in its middle setting „4”. After an hour or
two the cabinet will have cooled down. If a lower
temperature is required, turn the thermostat knob
towards „7”. If a higher temperature is required,
turn the knob towards „1”.
The compressor is switched off when the thermo-
stat knob setting is „0”.
The red lamp lights up when the temperature in
the cabinet is not in accordance with the thermostat
setting.
If during transport the freezer has been laid down,
or if it has been stored in cold surroundings (colder
than +5°C) it must be allowed to stabilise for at
least two hours before being switched on.
Start the freezer by plugging into a wall socket.
Important! If the mains lead has been damaged,
it must be replaced with a corresponding type
supplied by Gram A/S or one of Gram’s service
centres.
The most effective freezing down is achieved by
pressing the „quick-freeze” switch ¹ 24 hours before
items are to be placed in the cabinet. The yellow
lamp º remains lit for as long as „quick-freeze” is
switched on.
When freezing down is completed - after a day or
two depending on the quantity of items placed in
the cabinet - switch off „quick-freeze”, and the
yellow lamp will go out.
Please note! The compressor runs conti-
nuously during freezing down.
Brief temperature variations are normal and oc-
cur when:
- the cabinet is lled with fresh items,
- the door is left open for longer periods.
Items of food in the cabinet will not be affected by
these variations and the temperature will quickly
return to normal.

Before retting the brackets on the opposite
side of the cabinet, move the threaded pin on
the hinge bracket to the other threaded hole.
Remove the threaded pin under the control
panel using a Phillips screwdriver and move it to
the opposite side. (3). Ret the door and screw
the bottom hinge into position using a Phillips
screwdriver. Ret the adjustable feet and, nally,
ret the door handle.

Please note!
When fresh items are placed in the cabinet, the tem-
perature will increase sufciently for the red warning
lamp to light up. The lamp will stay lit until the tem-
perature again falls to below approx. -15°C.

Freezing down
Specically for Fresh line models
The control panel and thermostat knob are
located on the top panel. All functions are set
using a single knob which can be turned from ”1”
(least cold) to ”6” (coldest). Turning the thermo-
stat knob to ”S” activates the quick-freeze func-
tion. For further details, see ”Freezing down”.
NB!
Pack your frozen foods in airtight and watertight
material in order to avoid drying out. Portions should
be as at as possible to allow rapid freezing down.
