Tips
Please always heat/boil fresh cold water.
Black teas, herbal- and fruit tea blends should
always be brewed with boiling water.
For Green Tea, the water temperature should
approximately be 80°C in order to avoid that
too many of the bitterns get released in the
infusion.
In case of bad water quality, we recommend
you to use still mineral water.
The right brewing time decisively inuences
the effect and the taste of tea.
After 2 to 3 minutes, tea acts as a stimulant
on the central nervous system and has a
rather mild aromatic, not too acerbic, taste.
After 4 to 5 minutes, tea has a calming effect
on your stomach and gut. Moreover, the tea
tastes strong and a bit more acerbic.
Herbal- and fruit tea blends should brew for
8 to 10 minutes, in order to unfold their full
avour/taste and their pleasant effect.

Lime lter
The removable lime lter prevents lime scale
being poured out.
Dry running and overheating protection
This unit is equipped with a dry running and
overheating protection system. If you ever
operate the unit without any water or with
too little water, the unit shuts itself off. Wait
a moment until the unit has cooled off. Fill the
unit with water and continue as usual.
Cleaning
First pull the plug out of the electric socket and
let the unit cool off.
Clean the exterior of the unit with a soft,
moist cloth. If heavily soiled, you can use a
mild detergent.
Decalcifying
Depending on the hardness degree of the water,
lime scale can build up over time on the bottom
and on the interior wall of the stainless steel
tank. The harder the water, the faster the lime
scale builds up. That is harmless but it can
impair the performance of the unit.
For that reason, we recommend regularly
decalcifying the unit as follows
Fill the unit three-quarters full with water.
Boil it.
After the unit has shut itself off, ll the unit
additionally with distilled white vinegar up.
Important: Never boil this mixture!
Let the mixture stand overnight.
Empty the unit and rinse it out several times
with clear water.
Important: You can use other suitable
descalers. To do that, follow the manufacturer‘s
instructions.
