Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Dieses Gerät ist nicht für den gewerb-

lichen Gebrauch bestimmt. Benutzen

Sie dieses Gerät nur in geschlossenen

Räumen zum Aufschäumen von Milch.

Dieses Gerät ist dazu bestimmt, im

Haushalt und ähnlichen Anwendungen

verwendet zu werden, wie beispiels-

weise:

■ in Mitarbeiterküchen für Läden und Bü-

ros;

■ in landwirtschaftlichen Anwesen;

■ von Gästen in Hotels, Motels und an-

deren Wohneinrichtungen;

■ in Frühstückspensionen.

Beim Kontakt mit unter Spannung

stehenden Leitungen oder Bauteilen

besteht Lebensgefahr!

Beachten Sie die folgenden Sicher-

heitshinweise um eine Gefähr-

dung durch elektrischen Strom zu

vermeiden:

■ Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht,

wenn das Stromkabel oder der

Stecker beschädigt ist.

■ Lassen Sie vor der Weiterbe-

nutzung des Gerätes eine neue

Anschlussleitung durch den

Graef-Kundendienst oder einer

autorisierten Fachkraft installie-

ren.

■ Öffnen Sie auf keinen Fall das

Gehäuse des Gerätes. Werden

spannungsführende Anschlüs-

se berührt und der elektrische

und mechanische Aufbau ver-

ändert, besteht Stromschlag-

gefahr.

■ Niemals unter Spannung ste-

hende Teile berühren. Diese

können einen elektrischen

Schlag verursachen oder sogar

zum Tode führen.

Sicherheitshinweise

Beachten Sie für einen sicheren Um-

gang mit dem Gerät die folgenden Si-

cherheitshinweise:

■ Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Ver-

wendung auf äußere sichtbare Schä-

den am Gehäuse, dem Anschlusskabel

und -stecker. Nehmen Sie ein beschä-

digtes Gerät nicht in Betrieb.

■ Reparaturen dürfen nur von ei-

nem Fachmann oder vom

Graef-Kundendienst ausgeführt wer-

den. Durch unsachgemäße Reparatu-

ren können erhebliche Gefahren für

den Benutzer entstehen. Zudem er-

lischt der Garantieanspruch.

■ Eine Reparatur des Gerätes während

der Garantiezeit darf nur vom Graef-

Kundendienst vorgenommen werden,

sonst besteht bei nachfolgenden Schä-

den kein Garantieanspruch mehr.

■ Defekte Bauteile dürfen nur gegen Ori-

ginal-Ersatzteile ausgetauscht werden.

Nur bei diesen Teilen ist gewährleistet,

dass sie die Sicherheitsanforderungen

erfüllen werden.

■ Dieses Gerät ist nicht dafür bestimmt

durch Personen (einschließlich Kin-

dern) mit eingeschränkten physischen,

sen- sorischen oder geistigen Fähigkei-

ten oder mangels Erfahrung und/oder

mangels Wissen benutzt zu werden, es

sei denn sie werden durch eine für ihre

Sicherheit zuständige Person beauf-

sichtigt oder erhielten von ihr Anwei-

sungen wie das Gerät zu benutzen ist.

■ Kinder sollten beaufsichtigt werden,

um sicherzustellen, dass sie nicht mit

dem Gerät spielen.

■ Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur in Verbin-

dung mit der mitgelieferten Basisstati-

on.

■ Die Zuleitung immer am Anschlussste-

cker aus der Steckdose ziehen, nicht

am Anschlusskabel.

■ Tragen Sie das Gerät nicht am An-

schlusskabel.

■ Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur im aufrech-

ten Zustand, nehmen Sie das Gerät nie-

mals in Betrieb, wenn es auf der Seite

oder verkehrt herum liegt.

■ Das Gerät ist nicht dazu bestimmt mit

einer externen Zeitschaltuhr oder einer

separaten Fernsteuerung verwendet zu

werden.

■ Beim Öffnen des Deckels ist besondere

Vorsicht geboten, da der Inhalt des Be-

hälters herausspritzen kann.

■ Bewegen Sie das Gerät nicht, während

es eingeschaltet ist. Während der Be-

wegeung kann heiße Flüssigkeit aus

dem Gerät austreten.

■ Lassen Sie das Grät vor jeder Reinigung

abkühlen.

■ Verpackungsmaterialien dürfen nicht

zum Spielen verwendet werden. Es

besteht Erstickungsgefahr.

■ Niemals drehende Teile des Gerätes be-

rühren.

■ Keine Gegenstände oder Körperteile in

das laufende Gerät stecken.

■ Während des Betriebes das Gerät nicht

unbeaufsichtigt lassen.

■ Befüllen Sie das Gerät nur bis zur je-

weiligen Markierung. Bei zu großer

Füllmenge kann heiße Flüssigkeit aus

dem Edelstahlbehälter austreten.

■ Schalten Sie das Gerät vor dem Reini-

gen aus und ziehen Sie den Netzste-

cker aus der Steckdose.

■ Tauchen Sie den Gerätesockel, den Be-

hälter, das Anschlußkabel oder den An-

schlußstecker niemals in Wasser oder

andere Flüssigkeiten.

■ Reinigen Sie das Gerät, oder Teile da-

von nicht im Geschirrspüler.

Auspacken

Zum Auspacken des Gerätes gehen Sie

wie folgt vor:

■ Entnehmen Sie das Gerät aus dem Kar-

ton.

■ Entfernen Sie alle Verpackungsteile.

■ Entfernen Sie eventuelle Aufkleber an

dem Gerät (nicht das Typenschild entfer-

nen).

Anforderungen an den Aufstellort

Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien Be-

trieb des Gerätes muss der Aufstellort

folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:

■ Das Gerät muss auf einer festen, a-

chen, waagerechten, rutschfesten und

hitzebeständigen Unterlage mit einer

ausreichenden Tragkraft aufgestellt

werden.

■ Wählen Sie den Aufstellort so, dass

Kinder nicht an heiße Oberächen des

Gerätes gelangen können.

■ Das Gerät ist nicht für den Einbau in

einer Wand oder einem Einbauschrank

vorgesehen.

■ Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in einer hei-

ßen, nassen oder feuchten Umgebung

auf.

■ Die Steckdose muss leicht zugänglich

sein, so dass das Stromkabel notfalls

leicht abgezogen werden kann.

Elektrischer Anschluss

Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien

Betrieb des Gerätes sind beim elektri-

schen Anschluss folgende Hinweise zu

beachten:

■ Vergleichen Sie vor dem Anschließen

des Gerätes die Anschlussdaten (Span-

nung und Frequenz) auf dem Typen-

schild mit denen Ihres Elektronetzes.

Diese Daten müssen übereinstimmen,

damit keine Schäden am Gerät auf-

treten. Im Zweifelsfall fragen Sie Ihre

Elektro-Fachkraft.

■ Die Steckdose muss mindestens über

einen 10A-Sicherungsschutz- schalter

abgesichert sein.

■ Vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Strom-

kabel unbeschädigt ist und nicht über

heiße Flächen oder scharfe Kanten ver-

legt wird.

■ Das Anschlusskabel darf nicht straff ge-

spannt sein.

■ Die elektrische Sicherheit des Gerä-

tes ist nur dann gewährleistet, wenn

es an ein vorschriftsmäßig installiertes

Schutzleitersystem angeschlossen wird.

Der Betrieb an einer Steckdose ohne

Schutzleiter ist verboten. Lassen Sie im

Zweifelsfall die Hausinstallation durch

eine Elektro-Fachkraft überprüfen.

Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Ver-

antwortung für Schäden, die durch

einen fehlenden oder unterbrochenen

Schutzleiter verursacht werden.

Vor dem Erstgebrauch

Vor der ersten Verwendung das Gerät

wie im Kapitel Reinigung beschrieben

reinigen.

WICHTIG!

Lassen Sie zwischen zwei Verwen-

dungen das Gerät abkühlen.

Milchschaum zubereiten

Schließen Sie das Gerät an das Strom-

netz an:

■ Nehmen Sie den Deckel ab und setzen

Sie den Quirl für warmen

oder

kalten

Milchschaum ein.

■ Füllen Sie die gewünschte

Menge Milch in den Behälter.

WICHTIG!

■ Beachten Sie die Max-Mar-

kierung. Füllen Sie nicht mehr

Milch in den Behälter hinein.

Aufgeschäumte Milch dehnt

sich aus und führt bei zu großer

Füllmenge zum Überlaufen des

Behälters.

■ Das obere Ende des Quirls soll-

te noch erkennbar sein.

■ Setzen Sie den Deckel auf den Behälter.

■ Starten Sie die Zubereitung durch drü-

cken des entsprechenden Einschalt-

tasters. Die LED leuchtet so lange das

Gerät arbeitet.

WICHTIG!

Die Zubereitung stoppt je nach

Füllmenge automatisch nach ca.

60 - 90 Sekunden.

■ Öffnen Sie den Deckel nach Beendi-

gung der Zubereitung und nehmen Sie

ihn nach oben ab.

■ Gießen oder schöpfen Sie den Milch-

schaum in das Trinkgefäß um.

■ Nach Verwendung das Gerät wie im

Kapitel Reinigung beschrieben reini-

gen.

Tipps:

Wenn Sie kalten, festen Milchschaum

erhalten möchten, setzen Sie den

Quirl für heißen Milchschaum ein und

drücken Sie den Startknopf für kalten

Milchschaum.

Wenn Sie einen kalten Milchschaum

erhalten möchten der leicht sämig ist,

dann setzten Sie den Quirl für kalten

Milchschaum ein und drücken Sie den

Startknopf für kalten Milchschaum.

Milch erwärmen

Das Erwärmen von Milch unterscheidet

sich in folgenden Punkten von der Zu-

bereitung von Milchschaum:

■ Entfernen Sie den Quirl für Milch-

schaum.

■ Füllen Sie die gewünschte Menge Milch

in den Behälter.

■ Die restlichen Arbeitsschritte sind

identisch zur Zubereitung von heißem

Milchschaum.

Probieren Sie es doch einmal aus!

Reinigung

■ Reinigen Sie die Außenächen des Ge-

rätes mit einem weichen, angefeuch-

teten Tuch. Bei starker Verschmutzung

kann ein mildes Reinigungsmittel ver-

wendet werden.

■ Den Behälter nach jedem Gebrauch mit

heißem Wasser ausspülen. Bei hartnä-

ckiger Verschmutzung im Inneren des

Kruges diesen mit einer Seifenlöung

auswaschen und gut ausspülen. Rück-

stände am Boden des Behälters können

Sie mit dem beigefügten Schaber ent-

fernen oder mit einem Tuch.

Entsorgung

Dieses Produkt darf am Ende seiner

Lebensdauer nicht über den norma-

len Hausmüll entsorgt werden, son-

dern muss an einem Sammelpunkt

für das Recycling von elektronischen

Haushaltsabfall entsorgt werden. Das

Symbol auf dem Produkt und in der

Gebrauchsanleitung weist darauf hin.

Die Werkstoffe sind gemäß Ihrer Kenn-

zeichnung wiederverwertbar. Mit der

Wiederverwendung, der stofichen

Verwertung oder anderen Formen der

Verwertung von Altgeräten, leisten Sie

einen wichtigen Beitrag zum Schutze

unserer Umwelt. Bitte fragen Sie bei

Ihrer Gemeindeverwaltung nach der

zuständigen Entsorgungsstelle.

ginnend vom Verkaufsdatum 24 Mo-

nate Herstellergarantie für Mängel, die

auf Fertigungs- und Werkstofffehler

zurückzuführen sind. Ihre gesetzlichen

Gewährleistungsansprüche nach § 439

ff. BGB-E bleiben von dieser Regelung

unberührt. In der Garantie nicht ent-

halten sind Schäden, die durch unsach-

gemäße Behandlung oder Einsatz ent-

standen sind sowie Mängel, welche die

Funktion oder den Wert des Gerätes

nur geringfügig beeinussen. Weiter-

gehend sind Transportschäden, soweit

wir dies nicht zu verantworten haben,

Bei berechtigten Reklamationen wer-

This unit complies with the statutory

safety regulations. Improper use can,

however, lead to personal injury and

property damage.

department or an authorised

specialist.

■ Never open the unit housing

under any circumstances. If

live connections are touched

and the electrical or mechani-

cal structure changes, there is a

danger of electric shock.

■ Never touch any parts that are

conducting electricity. They can

cause an electric shock or even

lead to death.

Basic safety instructions

To handle the unit safely, follow the in-

structions below:

■ Check the unit for external, visible

damage to the housing, the connector

cable and the plug before using it. Do

not put a damaged unit into operation.

■ Repairs are only allowed to be per-

formed by a specialist or by the Graef

customer service department. Improp-

er repairs can lead to extreme hazards

for the user. Furthermore, the warranty

claim expires.

■ Only Graef customer service is author-

ised to repair the unit during the war-

ranty period, otherwise the warranty

expires for subsequent damages.

■ Defective components must be re-

placed solely with genuine spare parts.

Fullment of the safety regulations is

only guaranteed if these parts are used.

■ This unit is not intended for use by peo-

ple (including children) with restricted

physical, sensory or mental capabilities,

or who have a lack of experience and/

or lack of knowledge, unless they are

supervised by a person responsible for

their safety or have received instruc-

tions from that person about how to

use the unit.

■ Children should be supervised to en-

sure that they do not play with the unit.

■ Use the unit only together with the

supplied base station.

■ Always pull the supply line from the

electric socket using the connector

plug, not on the connector cable.

■ Do not carry the unit by the connector

cable.

■ Use the unit only when it is standing

upright; never put the unit into op-

eration if is lying on its side or upside

down.

■ The unit is not intended to be used

with an external timer or a separate

telecontrol system.

■ Be especially careful when opening the

cap; the contents in the unit tank can

squirt out.

■ Do not move the unit while it is

switched on. While moving, hot liquid

can escape from the unit.

■ Switch the unit off before cleaning and

pull the power cord from the electric

socket.

■ Let the unit cool off before cleaning.

■ Do not use any aggressive or abrasive

cleaning agents and do not use any

solvents.

■ Do not scratch off stubborn soiling

with hard objects.

■ Never immerse the unit base, the tank,

the connection cable or the connection

plug into water or any other uid.

■ Do not clean the unit or any of its parts

in a dishwasher.

■ Do not use the packing material as a

toy. Danger of suffocation.

■ Follow the instructions regarding the

requirements for the place of instal-

lation and on the unit’s electrical con-

nection to prevent personal harm and

property damage.

■ Never touch rotating parts of the unit.

■ Never put objects or body parts in the

unit while it is running.

■ Never leave the unit unsupervised dur-

ing operation.

■ Fill the unit only up to the respec-

tive mark. If overlled, hot liquid can

emerge from the tank.

Unpacking

To unpack the unit, proceed as below:

■ Take the unit out of the carton.

■ Remove all pieces of the packing.

■ Remove any possibly extant labels from

the unit (do not remove the rating

plate).

Requirements for the installation

location

For safe and awless operation of the

unit, the place of location must meet

these prerequisites:

■ The unit must be set up on a rm, at,

level, non-slip and heat resistant base

that has sufcient load bearing capac-

ity.

■ Select the place of location so that chil-

dren cannot reach the hot surfaces of

the unit.

■ The unit is not intended for installation

in a wall or a built-in cupboard.

■ Do not set up the unit in a hot, wet or

moist environment.

■ The electric socket must be readily ac-

cessible so that the power cord can be

easily unplugged.

Electric connection

Follow these instructions about the

less operation of the unit:

■ Before connecting the unit, compare

Before the rst use

Remove the protective cap between

the base station and the tank. Before

using the unit for the rst time, clean

as described in the Cleaning chapter.

IMPORTANT!

Let the unit cool off between uses.

Making milk froth

Connect the unit to the mains supply:

■ Remove the cap and insert the attach-

ment for warm

or cold

milk froth.

■ Fill the desired amount of milk in the

tank.

IMPORTANt!

Comply with the “max” mark.

Never ll any more milk than that

into the tank. Frothed milk ex-

pands; if the lling level is too high

it will overow the tank.

■ Put the cap on the tank.

■ Start preparation by pressing the corre-

sponding “on” button. The LED is illu-

minated as long as the unit is running.

IMPORTANT!

Preparation stops automatically

after 60 - 90 seconds, depending

on the lling level.

■ Open the cap after preparation has n-

ished and pull it up.

■ Pour or ladle the milk froth into a cup

or glass.

■ After using the unit, clean it as de-

scribed in the Cleaning

Warming up milk

Warming up milk differs from making

milk froth in the following points:

■ Remove the attachment for milk froth.

■ Fill the desired amount of milk in the

stainless steel tank.

■ The rest of the steps are identical to

making warm milk froth.

Cleaning

■ Clean the exterior of the unit with a

soft, moist cloth. If heavily soiled, a

mild detergent can be used.

■ Rinse out the tank with hot water after

use. If there is stubborn soiling in the

inside of the stainless steel tank, wash

it out with a soap solution and rinse

thoroughly.

Disposal

At the end of its service life, this prod-

uct must not be disposed through nor-

mal domestic waste; rather it must be
