Safety notes
Risks of injury
• This device is not designed to be used by persons (including
children) with impaired physical, sensory or mental abilities or
those lacking experience and/or knowledge unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety or received
instructions on how to use the device from them.
• Make sure that children do not play with the device.
• Children and animals must be kept away from the device and
the connection line.
• Keep children and animals away from the packaging material.
Danger of suffocation exists!
• ATTENTION Hot surfaces! Parts of the device may become
very hot during or directly after use. Always use potholders or
kitchen gloves when opening the lid or when removing the cook-
ing container or rice. Only take hold of the device by the han-
dles!
• ATTENTION Scalding hazard due to steam emission! Be
careful when opening the lid or removing the cooking container.
Hot steam may be emitted.
Health safety notes
• There may be some production residue stuck to the device. To
avoid health risks, clean the device and all accessories thor-
oughly before fi rst use (see chapters “Before fi rst use” and
“Cleaning”).
• Clean the device after every use and keep it clean to prevent
the build-up of germs.
Setting up and connecting the device properly
• Only use and store the device out of the reach of children. The
mains cord may also not be accessible for children. They could
pull the device down with it.
• Only use the device in enclosed areas.
