❐ Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. The cable must
not hang down from the surface on which the device is placed in order to prevent the device
from being pulled down.
❐ Do not pull or carry the device by the cable.
❐ Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not
come into contact with hot surfaces.
❐ Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations, direct
sunlight or moisture.
❐ Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
❐ Keep the device in a dry place at temperatures of between 0 and 40 °C.
Proper Use
❐ Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. If the device, the cable
or the plug shows visible signs of damage, the device must not be used. Do not use the device
if it has malfunctioned or been dropped. You should then have it checked by an authorised
service centre.
❐ Never attempt to repair any electrical device or connecting cable yourself, but always consult
the nearest customer service department/specialist in order to ensure your own safety. In
the event of any damage, contact our customer service department.
❐ Only the accessory parts supplied by the manufacturer should be used. If accessory parts
which are not authorised by the manufacturer are used, all warranty and guarantee claims
are void.
❐ Never leave the device unsupervised during operation!
❐ Always keep the lid closed during use. The motor and the heating elements switch off when
the lid is opened.
❐ Make sure that children are not able to play with the device. When using the device near
children, ensure that children do not touch the device or the cable.
❐ Never immerse the device or cable in water or other liquids. Should the device fall into water,
switch off the power supply immediately.
❐ Never spray cold water onto the device during or immediately after use. The coating on the
metal parts could shatter.
