3. Press the lowering lever (2) down until it engages. (The lowering lever only clicks
into place if the device is connected to a plug socket.) The device is switched on and
the toasting process starts. The STOPP (stop) button (4) additionally lights up blue.
4. After the end of the toasting process, the bread and the lowering lever are automatically
raised and the device switches itself o . The STOPP (stop) button lights up red again.
In addition, a melody sounds, which signals the end of the toasting process.
5. Remove the bread carefully from the toasting slots.
6. If you have nished using the device, pull the mains plug out of the plug socket and
allow the device to cool down.
Cancelling the Toasting Process
If the toasting setting is too high, the bread could become charred and smoke could de-
velop. In this case, cancel the toasting process by pressing the STOPP (stop) button (4).
The bread and the lowering lever (2) are automatically raised and the device switches
itself o .
Toasting Frozen Bread
Set the toasting level you want. Place the frozen bread in the toasting slots (1) and press
down the lowering lever (2). Then press the AUFTAUEN (defrost) button (5).
The AUFTAUEN (defrost) button lights up and the toasting process is extended.
Warming Up Bread
If you want to warm up bread that has already cooled down, place the bread in the toast-
ing slots (1), press down the lowering lever (2) and then press the AUFWÄRMEN (warm
up) button (6).
The AUFWÄRMEN (warm up) button lights up and the toasting process is shortened.
Warming Up and Toasting Bread Rolls
If you want to warm up or toast bread rolls, the roll warming rack must also be placed
over the toasting slots (1). Then use the toaster in the usual way.
Deactivating the Melody
If you DO NOT want a melody to be played at the end of the toasting, defrosting or
warming up process, press the STOPP (stop) button (4) BEFORE pressing down the
lowering lever (2). The STOPP (stop) button goes out. Then proceed in the usual way.
Please Note: As long as the STOPP (stop) button does not light up red, the melody is
deactivated. Before pressing down the lowering lever press the STOPP (stop) button to
activate the function. The STOPP (stop) button lights up red.
To stop the melody playing ahead of schedule, press the STOPP (stop) button (4).
