CAUTION!
Danger of scalding! Beware of steam escaping! Be careful when pouring out hot
water.
Danger of scalding! The device should only be used and stored out of the reach of
children and animals. The mains cable must also be kept out of the reach of children.
Otherwise they might use the cable to pull the device down on themselves.
Danger of burns! Only hold the hot device by the handle. Avoid contact with the
metal surface of the device during operation or shortly afterwards. It gets very
hot!
Do not ll water any higher than up to the Max marking as otherwise water can spray
out of the pouring spout when it boils.
1. If you have not already done so, place the base station on a dry, at, solid and heat-
resistant surface and plug the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket.
2. Remove the kettle from the base station. Open it by pressing the button on the lid and
pour drinking water into the kettle. Make sure that the amount of water is between
0.5 litres (MIN marking) and 1.8 litres (MAX marking). Too little water means that the
device will switch off too early; if the Max marking is exceeded, water could spray out
during boiling.
3. Press the lid shut and place the kettle on the base station.
4. Select one of the following functions:
A Boil water:
Press the
button for a short time. The device switches on and heats the water up
to 100°C. The LED-lighting is constantly lit up red as this happens.
B Boil water and keep it hot:
Press the
button for 3 seconds. The device switches on and heats the water up
to 100°C. The LED-lighting ashes red as this happens. Once the water has boiled,
the heating function is switched off, but the device keeps the water hot for 2 hours.
It starts to heat up the water when the temperature has dropped to approx. 80 -
85°C. As long as the keep-hot function is activated, the LED-lighting
ashes red.
C Heat up water:
If you do not want to boil the water but just want to heat it up, press the -/+ button
until the control lamp next to the temperature display you want is lit up. The colour
of the LED-lighting changes as you set the temperature as follows:
60°C green
70°C blue
80°C yellow
90°C purple
The device switches on and heats the water up to the set temperature.
5. The device switches off automatically once the water has boiled or the set tempera-
ture has been reached. The keep-hot function remains activated for 2 hours, then the
device switches off.
You can cancel the boiling process and the keep-hot function at any time by
pressing the
button or removing the kettle from the base station.
