7. Vor Ablauf der Garzeit überprüfen, ob die Mu ns gar sind und sie ggf. vor Ablauf der
die Garzeit herausnehmen.
Amerikanisches Kotelett
Zutaten:
4 Schweinekotelett(s) (vorzugsweise Nackenkoteletts)
2 EL Butter
2 Zwiebel(n), in Ringe geschnitten
3 EL Zucker, braun
1 TL, gehäuft Salz
1 TL, gestr. Pfe er
3 EL Essig
3 EL Zitronensaft
n. B. Chili ocken aus der Mühle
1 Msp. Cayennepfe er
2 TL Senf
1 TL Paprikapulver, geräuchert
1 1/2 Tasse Tomatenketchup
2 EL Worcestersauce
1 Tasse Wasser
Zubereitung:
1. Die Koteletts in eine Form legen.
2. Zitronensaft, Essig, Salz und Pfe er vermischen.
3. In einem kleinen Topf die Butter zerlassen und die Zwiebeln darin anbraten.
4. Den Zucker hinzugeben, etwas karamellisieren lassen und mit dem Zitronensaftge-
misch ablöschen.
5. Aufkochen lassen und über die Koteletts gießen.
6. Das Tomatenketchup mit dem Wasser und der Worcestersoße verrühren. Die restli-
chen Gewürze mit dem Schneebesen gut untermischen.
7. Die Koteletts mit dieser Soße begießen.
8. Das Backgitter auf die mittleren Schienen in den Garraum schieben und die Form
daraufstellen.
9. Das Programm „Steaks/Koteletts“ starten.
10. Wenn die Koteletts nicht von der Soße bedeckt sind, zwischendurch mit der Soße
begießen.
11. Kurz vor Ende des Programms den Garzustand überprüfen. Bei Bedarf die Garzeit
verlängern.
