7.6.3 Catalog of Departments

Departmental designations can be entered and edited here.

The departments are arranged alphabetically.

This catalog can be accessed while entering a new customer of

the “department” type.

Entering a new department

Enter the department name here using the softkey keyboard.

Ð Add the new department to the catalog by tapping Save

We recommend saving newly entered locations at regular inter-

vals with the help of the Backup function in the Setup menu

(see

section 4.11.3

)

or via the data export function as an XML file

which is independent of a version, see section 7.7.6

Changing Departments

A department can be selected from the catalog for editing by

marking the appropriate line.

Deleting Departments

In order to delete existing departments, they must first be marked

in the catalog by activating the respective checkbox. Referenced

departments, i.e. departments which are already being used for

DUTs, cannot be deleted.

Entry of a new designation or editing of an existing designa-

tion can be exited at any time by pressing the ESC key

(when not in the keyboard entry mode) or (in the key-

board entry mode). Entries are ignored.

Ð Add the new designation to the catalog by tapping Save .
