Charging the battery
1. When the motor performance is weak, the battery
has to be recharged. Please do this as follows:
2. Plug one end of the USB cable into the socket on the
charger stand. Then, connect the other end of the
USB cable to your mobile charger (5.1 VDC, 2.0 A)
and plug the mobile charger into the wall socket. The
red indicator light on the unit turns on.
3. It generally takes 3 to 4 hours to fully charge the
battery fully. When the battery is charged, the
indicator turns green. Charging time may vary
depending on the circumstances.
4. It is normal that the adaptor and charger base get hot
during charging.
CAUTION:
5. The unit must be charged with a charger with an
appropriate output of 5.1 VDC, 2.0 A.
6. Never use a damaged or modified charger.
7. Do charge the unit for more than 24 hours.
8. If the unit is not used for more than six months, we
recommend you charge the battery before using it.
Hints for best vacuuming performance
1. There are many non-food items you can vacuum
pack. Keep camping supplies such as matches, first
aid kits and clothing clean and dry. Keep flares for
auto emergencies ready. Keep silver and collectibles
untarnished.
2. Do not leave too much air inside the bag. Press the
bag to allow extra air to escape from the bag before
vacuuming it. Too much air inside the bag increases
the vacuum pump load and as a result, the motor
may have insufficient power to extract all the air from
the bag!
3. Do not vacuum-pack objects with sharp points like
fish bones and hard shells! Sharp points may pierce
and tear the bag!
4. During the vacuuming process, small amounts of
liquids, crumbs or food particles can be inadvertently
pulled into the outer suction base, which could clog
the pump and damage your appliance.
5. To prevent this, follow these tips:
a) For moist and juicy food such as raw meat: freeze
first and avoid overfilling the bags. You can also
place a folded paper towel inside the bag, in the
upper part but below the valve, before vacuum
packaging.
b) For soups, sauces and liquids: freeze first and
then vacuum. Keep the vacuumed bag or canister in
refrigerator.
c) For powdery or fine-grained foods: avoid overfilling
the bags, or use a canister. You can also place a
coffee filter or a paper towel inside the bag before
vacuum packaging.
6. For best results, pre-freeze fruits and blanch
vegetables before vacuum packing.
7. Note: we recommend you use the original vacuum
bags, lids, and wine stoppers for the perfect vacuum
performance.
8. IMPORTANT: To avoid possible infection, do not
reuse a bag after you have used it to store raw meat,
fish or greasy foods.
Maintenance & cleaning
When there water enters the outer suction base, the
suction base has to be cleaned. Pull the outer suction
base outward to remove it; then, wash and clean it. Wash

dishwashing soap, but do not immerse the cover in water.
