SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

ZUR KÖRPERTEMPE-

RATURMESSUNG

• Zur Gewährleistung einer exakten Tempera-

turmessung muss das Thermometer vor Be-

ginn der Messung für mindestens 30 Minuten

in dem Raum, in dem die Messung durchge-

führt werden soll, aufbewahrt werden, damit

eine Anpassung an die Raumtemperatur er-

folgen kann.

• Messen Sie die Temperatur des Babys nicht

beim oder unmittelbar nach dem Stillen.

• Verwenden Sie das Thermometer nicht in

Umgebungen mit hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit.

• Eine Anwendung außerhalb der angege-

benen Umgebungsbedingungen kann zu

Fehlmessungen führen.

• Vor dem oder beim Messen sollten die Pati-

enten nicht trinken, essen oder Sport treiben.

• Entfernen Sie das Thermometer erst von der

Messstelle, wenn der End-Signalton zu hö-

ren ist.

• 10 kurze Signaltöne und eine rote LCD-Hin-

tergrundbeleuchtung weisen darauf hin, dass

die Temperatur des Patienten über 37,5 °C

(99,4 °F) liegt.

• Messen Sie die Temperatur stets an dersel-

ben Stelle, da sonst die Anzeigewerte variie-

ren können.

• In den folgenden Fällen ist eine Kontrollmes-

sung mit einem herkömmlichen Fieberther-

mometer empfehlenswert:

1. Bei Neugeborenen während der ersten

6 Monate,

2. Kinder unter drei Jahren mit einem

schwachen Immunsystem, bei denen

das Vorhandensein oder Nichtvorhan-

densein von Fieber entscheidend ist.

3. Wenn der Benutzer lernt, das Thermo-

meter zu bedienen und bis er mit dem

Gerät vertraut ist und gleich bleibende

Messwerte erhält.

4. Wenn der Messwert verdächtig niedrig

ist.
