3.2 Defrosting
All refrigerators/freezers dispose of a fully automatic defrost regulation. The
parameters for defrost intervals, defrost times etc. are factory pre-set to the
optimum values. Parameters may be adjusted by refrigeration / electric specialist
only if need be. On request parameterlists are available from the manufacturer.
During defrosting a diode LED “DEF” lights up on the electronic control. This
diode signals the defrosting phase and goes out again when defrosting process
has been finished.
All refrigerators/freezers with built-in cooling system evaporate the condensate
automatically (series 620/700/1350 by hot gas, series 400 electrical).
All refrigerators/freezers for connection to a central cooling system discharge the
condensate via given siphon outlets into the building lines.
Attention:
Check regularly if the condensate flows unhindered through the drainpipe.
4. Use, charging and storage
Use:
Refrigerators/freezers are multipurpose and ideal for the storage of various
meals, raw and fresh goods, food and drinks.
Charging and storage:
Store goods only after the required temperature (actual rate) has been achieved. It
is recommended to spread the goods evenly over the total storage area.
To ensure a proper air circulation and even distribution of temperature store
goods on the top shelf up to the max. storage height only. For the same reasons
do not store goods directly on the bottom of the device but only on the lowest
grate or tray.
When storing food do not keep any liquids or products with preservatives (like
salts and acids) open in the refrigerators/freezers because this leads to an
intensive and quick icing of the evaporator and thus decreases the cooling
capacity and increases the energy consumption. Acids, salts and alkalis destroy
the evaporator and thus the cooling system.
Note:
Keep keys to lock the refrigerators/freezers out of children’s reach. Acc. to EN 441
not locked doors can be opened from the inside with a pressure of 70 N.
5. Cleaning and maintenance / compressor protection
function
For hygiene’s sake periodical cleaning is recommended (once a month or
several times a month depending on frequency and purpose of use).
Technical and optical design modifications are subject to change without notice
