9.5.10 Activate Remote Access
Your phone lets you check your messages, or otherwise operate your answering
machine, by calling the answering machine when you are away from home by
entering a 4-digit remote access PIN on a tone-dialing phone. Use the 4-digit remote
access PIN code to prevent other people from unauthorized access of your answering
machine.
9.5.10.1 Change the 4-Digit Remote Access PIN
Using the base:
1. Press MENU/OK and / to select ANS. MACHINE.
2. Press MENU/OK and / to select TAM SETTINGS.
3. Press MENU/OK and / to select CHANGE PIN.
4. Press MENU/OK and enter the old PIN (default remote access PIN is 0000).
5. Press MENU/OK and enter your new 4-digit PIN.
6. Press MENU/OK and enter your new 4-digit PIN again.
7. Press MENU/OK to confirm.
9.5.10.2 Activate or Deactivate the Remote access
Using the base:
1. Press MENU/OK and / to select ANS. MACHINE.
2. Press MENU/OK and / to select TAM SETTINGS.
3. Press MENU/OK and / to select REMOTE ACC.
4. Press MENU/OK and / to select ON or OFF to turn on or off the remote
access respectively.
5. Press MENU/OK to confirm.
9.5.10.3 Reset TAM to Default Settings
Using the base:
1. Press MENU/OK and / to select ANS. MACHINE.
2. Press MENU/OK and / to select TAM SETTINGS.
3. Press MENU/OK and / to select TAM DEFAULT.
4. Press MENU/OK and then enter the correct system PIN (default PIN is 0000).
5. Press MENU/OK to restore the TAM settings to default.
