Note
We recommend to keep at least the foam shipping box of the decanting bottle.
Placing the fragile decanting bottle back into the foam shipping box is the best
possible way for protecting the decanting bottle from damage, when it is not in
use. The appliance comes with a spare filter for replacing the external filter. You
should store the spare filter carefully for later use.
CAUTION: Do not use any abrasive cleaners, cleaning pads (e.g. metal scou-
ring pads), or any corrosive cleaners (e.g. disinfectants, chemical bleach) for clea-
ning. Do not use any hard or sharp-edged objects for cleaning the appliance. Do
not place the appliance or any part of it in an automatic dishwasher. Especially
the decanting bottle should not be placed in an automatic dishwasher or even
cleaned with dishwater, to avoid that components within the dishwater detract
from the aromas of your wine!
3. Clean the decanting bottle and appliance before first use and after an elonga-
ted time of storage (see: “Care and Cleaning”).
4. If you plan to operate the appliance on battery, install the battery (see: “Installing
or Replacing the Battery”).
OPERATION
WARNING: Risk of Injuries! The decanting bottle is made of fine glass and
fragile. Always handle the decanting bottle with special care to avoid damage.
As with any other glass containers used for food and beverages, there may be
no cracks, splinters and chipped edges. Before usage, always hold the decan-
ting bottle up to the light to ensure that it is completely undamaged to avoid
that splinters and shards get into your wine causing severe injuries. Do not use
the decanting bottle, if it is damaged in any way. The Home Sommelier is inten-
ded for usage by adults of 18 years and older only. Young children must be
supervised closely when the appliance or any part of it is within their reach.
The appliance is intended for decanting/aerating wine. Do not fill any other liquid
into the decanting bottle. Always remove the decanting bottle from the appliance for
filling. At the maximum, fill the decanting bottle up to the maximum filling level MAX
(750 ml) to ensure correct functioning and to avoid overloading the air system of the
appliance. Before placing the decanting bottle on the appliance after filling, ensure
that the exterior of the decanting bottle is clean and dry.
Do not attempt to use any other but the designated decanting bottle with the appli-
