CLEANING THE JUICER
1. Unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
2. Close the spout by lifting it until it settles with a click to avoid juice dripping from the spout.
3. Lift off the juice cone, filter basket and juice container from the motor base. Hold the juice
container level to avoid spilling of remaining juice.
4. Separate the removable parts (juice cone, filter basket and juice container) and empty filter
basket and juice container.
5. Clean the removable parts with a soft nylon washing brush in warm dish-water. Carefully
remove any pulp from the filter basket. Rinse all removable parts thoroughly under running
water.
Note:
If you intend to continue juicing at once, it may be sufficient to thoroughly rinse the
removable parts of the appliance with clear water. Soak dried pulp and stubborn residues for
ca. 10 minutes in warm dish-water.
If necessary, clean the dust cover in soapy water using a soft cloth or sponge.
WARNING: Do not use any hard or sharp utensils for cleaning the rotor shaft. Use a damp
soft cloth for cleaning the rotor shaft.
6. Wipe the motor base and power cord with a damp soft cloth. Take care not to spill or drip
water or any other liquids on the motor base. If necessary, wipe the table or counter under the
motor base and carefully clean the rotor shaft. Do not leave any food dry on the rotor shaft.
7. Thoroughly dry the motor base and all parts of the appliance after each cleaning. Leave
all parts dry naturally. Re-assemble the appliance according to the upper instructions (see
Assembling the Juicer). Place the dust cover on the appliance to protect the parts coming in
contact with food from dust.
STORAGE
Always clean the appliance before storing (see Care and Cleaning). You may wrap the power
cord loosely around the power cord storage on the bottom of the motor base.
To prevent the parts of the appliance from damage and dust and from being lost, re-assemble
the appliance for storage (see Assembling the Juicer). Ensure to store the appliance where it
is clean, dry and safe from frost and unacceptable strain (mechanical or electric shock, heat,
moisture) and where it is out of reach of young children. Place the appliance upright on a clean
and stable surface, where it could not tilt or fall. Do not place any hard or heavy objects on
the appliance.
