• Do not use any hard, sharp or edged objects (e.g. knives, forks) with
the appliance.
• To avoid overheating, do not operate the motor continuously for more
than 10 seconds at a time. Allow the motor to rest for 10 seconds
before continuing. If the motor gets stuck, immediately switch OFF
(releasing the ON/OFF button). Then remove the obstacle (see also:
‘Care and Cleaning’). Only use the appliance for processing edible
food and remove inedible parts and all packages before processing.
• After grinding sugar, cereals, or other dry ingredients, always wait
at least 1 minute before opening the lid. Always keep any sour-
ces of ignition (e.g. fire, cigarettes and other electrical appliances)
away from your working space to avoid risk of dust explosion.
• Do not operate the appliance with the glass container empty. However,
always observe the MAX filling level on the glass container (600 ml).
When processing liquids, do not fill in more than 400 ml to avoid over-
flow. When processing frothy ingredients (e.g. cream, egg white),
do not fill in more than 200 ml. Immediately switch OFF (release the
ON/OFF button) and unplug the appliance, when froth is escaping
between motor unit and lid. Then remove the motor unit and clean
the motor unit and lid (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’).
• Do not process hot food. Always leave your food reach room tempe-
rature, before filling it into the glass container. Otherwise, the glass
container could crack.
• If liquids run out or are spilled onto the motor unit, immediately stop
operation (releasing the ON/OFF button) and unplug the appliance.
Always wipe off spilled liquids immediately.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended, when it is connected to the
power supply. Always unplug the appliance, before assembling,
disassembling, moving, or cleaning the appliance, or when the appli-
ance is not in use. Do not place any hard and/or heavy objects on
the appliance or any part or accessory of it.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaners, cleaning pads (e.g. metal scou-
ring pads), or any corrosive chemicals (e.g. bleach) for cleaning.
