angle drive. Insufficient lubrication will shorten the service life of the

unit.

 It is advisable to lubricate the angle drive regularly. Use Lithium

machine grease. Suitable grease and grease guns can be pur-

chased from Westfalia.

Cleaning the Cutting Bar

 Remove dirt from the blade bar with a scrubbing brush or a small

hand broom.

 To remove rosin residues, mix some paraffin and engine oil and

wipe off the blade bar (mixture ratio Paraffin : Engine Oil = 50 : 50).

 Preferably lubricate the blade bar every 4 hours of operation. Apply

a few drops oil into the opening at the bottom side of the cutting bar.

Sharpening the Cutting Bar

 The blades of the cutting bar must regularly be checked for wear

and sharpened if necessary. Dull blades will overload the hedge

trimmer.

 Have worn cutting bars be sharpened by a skilled expert.
