In het veld “Status” ziet u één van de volgende boodschappen:

• Afstemmen: toestel probeert af te stellen op de opgegeven frequentie en bit rate.

• Scannen: toestel scant automatisch de frequenties en bit rates.

• Ontvangt: toestel ontvangt DGPS signaal en is klaar voor werking.

• Contr. bedrading: toestel krijgt geen contact met de DGPS ontvanger.

Als het toestel een DGPS signaal ontvangt, verschijnen er gegevens in de velden “S/R” (Signaal/Ruis-

verhouding) en “Afstand”. “S/R” gaat van 0dB tot 30dB, waarbij 30 de beste waarde is. Het veld “Afstand

kan wel of niet gegevens bevatten, afhankelijk van het signaal dat wordt uitgezonden door de DGPS site.

De DGPS bakenzenders worden bediend door de U.S. Coast Guard (of andere overheidsinstanties in

andere landen), die verantwoordelijk zijn voor de nauwkeurigheid en het onderhoud. Voor problemen

met DGPS zenders of voor de recentste lijst van frequenties en dekkingzones: contacteer de USCG of

raadpleeg de website: http://www.navcen.uscg.mil/.
