Tips
» When you create a direct route from your current GPS location to a single point and navigate to it, the route is
automatically deleted once you stop navigating.
» To save the route without navigating or viewing it, press QUIT after you add the last point. The route is saved
using the type selected in the Calculation Method drop-down list in the route settings.
Route Points
As you add points to a route, you can view point details, change the point’s order in the route, or remove the point from
the route.
Highlight the point and press ENTER; then select an option.
Option What it does
Details
The details page for the point displays. The options available depend on the type of
point you are viewing. To add the point to your Favorites on the Find Page, go to MENU
> Add to Favorites.
Move
Selects the point in the list; use the arrow keypad to move the point up or down in the
list order, and then press ENTER.
Remove
Removes the point from the list. For example, you can remove the Current Position eld
if you don’t want to include it in your route.
Route Options
When navigating, go to MENU > Route Options from the from the Map, Compass, Trip Info, or Directions pages.
Option What is does
Stop Navigating Stop navigating the current route.
Back on Track Recalculates the route to your destination.
Switch to Driving/Hiking Switches calculation method from Hiking to Driving.
Manage Routes
You can view route details, navigate a route, view a saved route and more.
To Do this
View route details
On the Routes Page, select a route to open its details page. If the route name is in bold
text, it is displaying on the map.
Navigate a route From the route details page, select Drive or Hike.
View a saved route on the
map
From the route details page, go to MENU > View Route on Map.
If the route has never been calculated, select Hike or Drive. The route displays on the
map. To hide the route on the map, go to MENU > Hide Route.
Reverse a route
From the route details page, go to MENU > Reverse Route.
To navigate the reversed route, select Drive or Hike.
OR
To view the reversed route, go to MENU > View Route on Map, and then select
Drive or Hike when prompted.
