5. Before starting the equipment
The lawn mower is delivered unassembled. The
complete push bar and the grass basket must be
assembled before using the lawn mower. Follow the
operating instructions step-by-step and use the
pictures provided as a visual guide to easily
assemble the machine.
Assembling the long handle (Fig. 3-6)
Swing the long handle back as shown in Figure
3. Make sure when doing so that the motor cable
is not jammed.
Now push the upper push bar over the lower
push bar (Figure 4) and screw together as shown
in Figure 4.
Now you can select one of the 4 different heights
of the long handle, between 86.5 and 113 cm.
Important.
The handle height may only be adjusted within the
marked area.
Secure the long handle in the desired position
using the two star screws (Fig.5/Item B)
Important.
Always set the identical handle height on both sides.
Use the cable clips to align the cable in
accordance with the long handle (Fig.6/Item A)
Mounting the grass collecting device
(see Fig. 7 to 10)
Assemble the bar frame as shown in Fig. 7a. Ensure
that the carry handle is above the bar frame. Snap
the grass bag over the bar frame (Fig. 7b) and
secure it to the frame with the rubber lugs (Fig. 7c).
The supplied wrench can be particularly helpful for
the base tray. The carry handle can now be secured
to the rear part of the bar frame which is covered
with fabric. This is done by pressing the rear frame
part until the hook on the carry handle snaps over it
(Fig. 7d). The grass bag front flap is clipped to the
two mounting on the bar frame (Fig. 8) and the two
securing clips (Fig. 9). Before you fit the grass bag
you must ensure that the motor is switched off and
the blade is not rotating. Lift the ejector flap (Fig. 10a
/ Item 5) with one hand. With the other hand, hold the
grass bag by the handle and attach it from above
(Fig. 10a). Ensure that the two eyelets are securely
attached as shown in Fig. 10b.
Adjusting the cutting height
Important. Adjust the cutting height only when the
motor is switched off and the power cable has been
disconnected.
Before you begin to mow, check to ensure that the
blade is not blunt and that none of the fasteners are
damaged. To prevent any imbalance, replace blunt
and/or damaged blades. To carry out this check, first
switch off the motor and pull out the power plug.
The cutting height is adjusted as shown in Figs. 11.
1. Pull out the lever (A).
2. Set the lever (A) to the desired cutting height.
The cutting height can be set between 25-75 mm in
10 intervals, and can be read off on the scale (Fig.
11/Item B).
Power supply
The lawn mower can be connected to any light
socket-outlet with a 230 Volt alternating current.
However, the socket outlet must have an earthing
contact protected by a 16 A circuit breaker.
Additionally, a residual current device (RCD) circuit-
breaker with max. 30 mA must be used!
Power cable for the device
Please only use power cables that are not damaged.
The total length of the power cable should not
exceed 50 meters; going beyond this distance will
reduce the power output of the electric motor. The
power cable must have a cross-section of 3 x 1.5
mm

. The insulating sheath of lawn aerator power
cables is frequently damaged. Some of the causes
for this are:
Cuts caused by running over the cable
Pinching when the power cable is dragging
under doors and pulled through windows.
Cracking due to old age of the insulation
Kinking by improperly fastening or guiding the
power cable
