batteries. Do not use non-rechargeable
batteries. The appliance must be disconnected
from the supply mains when removing the
battery.
1. Press the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds to turn off
the robotic lawnmower.
2. Check that the indicator lamp on the ON/OFF button
is not lit.
3. Set the cutting height to MIN (2).
4. Turn the robotic lawnmower upside down. Place the
robotic lawnmower on a soft and clean surface to
avoid scratching the body and the display cover.
5. Clean around the battery cover.
6. Unscrew the screws to the battery cover (Torx 20)
and remove the battery cover.
7. Release the latch of the connector and pull it
upwards.
CAUTION:
Do not pull the cables.
8. Release the latch of the battery holder and lift up the
battery holder (including the battery) from the robotic
lawnmower.
9. Release the latch of the battery and lift up the
battery from the battery holder.
10. Place the new battery into the battery holder.
Note: The sticker "This side down" must be facing
up when you place it into position. This means that
"This side down" will be facing downwards when the
robotic lawnmower is standing on its wheels.
11. Place the battery holder (including the battery) back
into place in the robotic lawnmower.
12. Connect the cable
13. Fit the battery cover without clamping the cables. If
the seal on the battery cover is visibly damaged, the
entire battery cover must be replaced.
14. Carefully cross-tighten the four screws for the
battery cover (Torx 20).
5.6 Winter service
Take your robotic lawnmower to your local GARDENA
representative for service prior to winter storage.
Regular winter service will maintain the robotic
lawnmower in good condition and create the best
conditions for a new season without any disruptions.
Service usually includes the following:
• Thorough cleaning of the body, the chassis, the
blade disc and all other moving parts.
• Testing of the mower’s function and components.
• Checking and, if required, replacing wear items such
as blades and bearings.
• Testing the mower’s battery capacity as well as a
recommendation to replace battery if necessary.
• If new software is available, the local GARDENA
representative updates the robotic lawnmower.
