6.2 Important notes on installation
The appliance must only be connected by an
authorised specialist, paying attention to the
relevant regulations of the power supply companies
and the regional construction regulations.
The electrician is responsible for the correct
functioning of the appliance at the time of
installation. He must instruct the user on how to
operate the appliance correctly on the basis of
the Operating Instructions, and the user must be
instructed on how to disconnect the appliance
in an emergency.
When unpacking the appliance, make sure you do
not damage its seal.
No warranty claims can be lodged for any damage
resulting from failure to observe these instructions.
This cooker corresponds to heat class Y and must
be installed in a cabinet as detailed in the sketch
(Fig. 8).
Without taking additional measures, do not install
this appliance in kitchen combinations made of
wood or similar combustible materials. Pay attention
to the 'Important notes' (Chapter 1).
Pay attention to the information on the rating
plate and connect the PE conductor. Connect the
connecting lead to the mains. The distance from
the lower edge of the housing trough to the next
combustible item of furnishing at the side should
be at least 20 mm.
If the range is not installed over a built-in cooker,
protection against hazardous contact from
below must be ensured after assembly, e.g. by
installing an intermediate shelf that can only be
detached using a tool.
The distance between the intermediate shelf and
the worktop in which the range is recessed must be
at least 60 mm.
If it is not possible to disconnect the appliance
from the mains via an easily accessible plug and
permanent cable connection, an isolating switch
with a contact clearance of at least 3 mm must be
fitted on the installation side.

When connecting electrical appliances and
devices in the proximity of cooking surfaces and
ovens, make sure that connecting cables do not
become jammed under the hot oven door or come
into contact with hot cooking surfaces.
If the appliance is installed in a base cabinet
that is less than 60 cm wide, the housing may be in
contact with the cabinet side panels. The cabinet
side panels must be modified so that the appliance
is not in contact with them.
Note: Do not stick the cooking surface onto the
worktop with silicone!
