2.2 Operating the espresso maker
2.2.1 Be sure that the power source voltage is the same as that of the appliance (see
rating plate on appliance).
2.2.2 Press pilot switch A (pict. 1).
2.2.3 Place an empty container under steam/water nozzle and turn the knob E (pict. 1).
2.2.4 Press the water switch B (pict. 1 ) until water runs out from the steam/water nozzle, then
press the switch again to stop water.
This operation is essential when you use your espresso coffee machine for the first time,
and has to be repeated in case you run out of water or when you use your coffee machine
after a long period of inactivity.
2.3 Brewing coffee (ART. 030 e 030/D, ART.034 e 034/D, ART. 042 e 042/D)
2.3.1 The appliance gives the chance to prepare two coffees using two filters of different
capacities (for 1 or two cups, pict. 2).
2.3.2 Put the choosen filter filled with ground coffee in the filter holder.
2.3.3 Press the coffee, in order to make it compact .
2.3.4 Put the filter holder in the proper space and rotate it from left to right in clasping well.
2.3.5 When the pilot light D (pict.1) signalling the machine ready is ON (or is OFF for the coffee
machines art. 042 and 042/D), press button B and your coffee will descend. To stop the
coffee brewing, press button B.

1. SICHERHEITSNORMEN
Vor einer Anwendung von Elektrogeräten ist eine gewisse Anzahl von Sicherheitsnormen zu
beachten.
DIE FOLGENDEN WARNUNGEN SIND AUFMERKSAM DURCHZULESEN:
1.1 Bevor Sie das Gerät anschließen, müssen Sie sich davon überzeugen, daß die
Angaben auf dessen Datenschild auch mit den Werten Ihres Stromnetzes
übereinstimmen.
1.2 Für den Betrieb ist das Gerät auf einer trockenen Oberfläche abzustellen.
1.3 Schalten Sie, vor einem An- oder Abschließen der Espressomaschine vom Stromnetz,
immer erst den Hauptschalter ab.
1.4 Die Espressomaschine nie ohne Wasser im entsprechenden Behälter in Betrieb nehmen.
1.5 Der Filter darf während der Kaffeezubereitung nicht entfernt werden.
1.6 Bedenken Sie immer, daß der bei der Zubereitung erzeugte Dampf (falls vorgesehen) eine
sehr hohe Temperatur erreicht.
1.7 Die Espressomaschine niemals in Wasser eintauchen.
1.8 Ein Kontakt des Versorgungskabels mit den heißen Flächen (z.B. Heizplatte), die den
Isolierkunststoff zum Schmelzen bringen könnten, ist zu vermeiden.
1.9 Niemals ein Elektrogerät mit einem beschädigten Versorgungskabel in Betrieb nehmen.
Lassen Sie dies sofort bei Ihrem Händler oder bei einer autorisierten Kundendienststelle
austauschen.
1.10 Die Espressomaschine niemals im Freinen verwenden. Von Witterungseinflüssen, so wie
Schnee, Regen, usw…schutzen.
1.11 Die Espressomaschine ausschließlich nur in den in diesem Heft angegebenen
Anwendungbereiche einsetzen. Alle andere Verwendungen sind ungeignet und, deshalb,
gefährlich können werden. Hinsichtlich eventueller Beschädigungen der
Espressomaschine, die aufgrund einer nicht dafür geeigneten oder diesem Heft nicht
konformen Anwendung entstehen, kann der Hersteller nicht verantwortlich gemacht
werden.
1.12 Hinsichtlich Reparaturen wenden Sie sich bitte an eine autorisierte Kundendienststelle.
1.13 Diese Anwendungsanweisungen bei anderen möglichen Benutzer lesen lassen.
1.14 Diese Anwendungsanweisungen bewahren.
Eine selbst ausgeführte Reparatur am Gerät, kann eine Gefahr für Ihre Sicherheit darstellen.
2. Anwendungsanleitung
2.1 Füllen des Wasserbehälters:
2.1.1 Den sich an der Rückseite des Geräts befindlichen Behälterdeckel abnehmen.
2.1.2 Den Behälter und den Wasserentnahmeschlauch, der sich im Inneren des Behälters
befindet, gleichzeitig, nach oben herausziehen.
2.1.3 Den Behälter bis die ¾ seiner Fassungsvermögen mit Wasser auffüllen.
2.1.4 Den Behälter wieder in seine anfängliche Position bringen und folgendes wieder ausrichten,
den Wasserentnahmeschlauch wieder hininstecken und den Behälter decken.
