Filling with operating fluids
Before each start, please ensure that the engine has enough oil and enough gasoline in the tank.
Please use only pure 4-stroke engine oil and gasoline with an octane rating of 95 or higher. Do not
use mixtures.
For oil filling, please use the oil filler neck shown in the picture above. To do this, unscrew the cap -
the cap also serves as an oil dipstick.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
If the dipstick already has a film of oil on it before the initial startup, you must still add oil. The
generator is filled at the factory for test purposes, and after a test run, the oil is pumped out again.
During transport, the engine compartment's residual oil can run back and form an oil film on the
dipstick.
If there is too little oil in the tank, the engine will either not start or will shut down during
operation. That serves to prevent engine damage to your device.
Therefore, check the oil quantity before each start.
Launch
To start, please proceed as follows:
• Check oil + add gasoline if necessary.
• Ground the generator via the grounding screw (see figure).
• The circuit breaker (see picture) must be in the "Off" position.
• Set the start switch (see picture) to "On".
• When starting cold, push the choke lever (see pictures above) to the left.
• Set the fuel tap upwards to the "On" position.
• Start the engine utilizing the starter rope.
For a cold start, let the engine run for up to 30sec and only then move the choke lever back to the
right to the "Run" position.
Let the engine warm-up for a few minutes first until you hook up the loads and tap the power. Before
you can let the current flow, you must set the circuit breaker back to the "On" position.
To shut down the generator usually, first disconnect the circuit by setting the circuit breaker to "Off",
then operate the starter switch and set it to "Off" as well, and finally close the fuel cock.
For an EMERGENCY STOP, press the start switch and use this to switch the generator off again.
