Safety functions of the components (see S4)
Point 3: on/off switch stops the engine immediately when it is switched off.
The stop switch must be used to (re)start the engine
Point 7: Saw chain with low kickback helps you to reduce kickback forces with
specially developed safety device and to absorb them better
Point 10: chain brake/hand guard protects the operator's left hand if it should
slip off the front handle while the saw is running. Chain brake is a safety
function to reduce injuries due to kickback by stopping a running saw chain
in milliseconds. It is activated by the chain brake lever point 17. Throttle lock
prevents accidental acceleration of the engine. The throttle stick can only be
pressed when the throttle stick lock is pressed
Point 21: chain catcher reduces the risk of injury if the chain should break or
slip while the engine is running. The chain catcher is designed to catch a chain
that is knocking around in the crack

2. Intended use
The device complies with the latest in science and technology as well as the
applicable safety regulations at the time it was placed on the market within
the scope of its intended use.
The tree pruning saw is intended for use with the right hand on the rear
handle and the left hand on the front handle, by a user trained in its use for
pruning and sawing off standing tree crowns, and by persons who have read
and understood the safety requirements in the operating instructions supplied
and who wear appropriate personal protective device (PPE).
This appliance may only be used with the approved original saw chains for
cutting wood outdoors. The device is not designed for commercial use. Any
other use is contrary to regulations. Unauthorized use, modifications to the
device or the use of parts that have not been tested and approved by the
manufacturer may result in unforeseeable damage!
National regulations for the operation of the device must be observed. Any
use of the device for purposes other than those for which it is intended or any
activities on the device not described in these operating instructions are
unauthorised misuse outside the manufacturer's legal liability limits.
