2 Instalación

2.1 Situación

Al seleccionar la situación del transductor tener en cuenta lo siguiente:

• Situarlo en una zona donde el flujo de agua no sea turbulento.

• El transductor debe estar siempre sumergido.

• Situarlo donde el ángulo de arrufo sea mínimo.

• Situarlo en una zona donde, dentro del barco, haya altura suficiente

(mínimo 280 mm) para el soporte y para montar y extraer el transductor.

Atención: No montar el transductor:

• Cerca de entradas o salidas de agua.

• Detrás de tracas o irregularidades del casco.

• Detrás de zonas de pintura erosionada (signo de turbulencia).

• Delante de un transductor de profundidad; la turbulencia generada

por la rueda de paletas del transductor de velocidad afectará adversa-

mente al de profundidad, especialmente a altas velocidades.

Barco a motor: Situar el transductor a medio barco, cerca de la línea

central.

Barco a motor con casco de planeo: Situar el transductor a popa para

asegurar que esté siempre sumergido.

Barco con quilla de aleta: Situar el transductor en la línea central o tan

cerca de ella como sea posible, a 300-600 mm por delante de la quilla.

Barco con quilla completa: Situar el transductor hacia la mitad del bar-

co, a un lado de la línea central donde el ángulo de arrufo sea mínimo.

2.2 Comprobación del Transductor

Conectar el transductor al instrumento y hacer girar la rueda de paletas.

Verificar que en el instrumento aparecen lecturas de velocidad y tempe-

ratura (ésta correspondiente aproximadamente a la temperatura ambien-

te).
