Getting started
Connecting a monitor
Follow the instructions contained in the monitor manual to prepare the monitor
for ope ration (e.g . connecting cables).
Monitor
Connect the da ta cable of the monitor into the monitor port of your device.
The optional monitor po wer cable may only be connected to the monitor socket of
the device if the monitor current consumption is less than 1 A with 240 V or 2 A
with 100 V. T he values for the monitor current consumption can be found in the
technical data on the monitor or in the ope rating manual for the monitor.
Plug the monitor power ca
ble into the grounded mains outlet.
Connecting the mouse
You can connect a USB mouse or a PS/2 mouse to your device.

Connecting a PS/2 mouse
The PS/2 m ou se is only detected by the d evice if you connect th e mouse when
the device is switched off and then switch the device on again.

If you do not at
tach a mouse to the PS/2 mouse port, you can disable the mouse
controller in
the BIOS Setup in order to free the IRQ12 for a different application.
Connect the PS/2 mouse to the PS/2 mouse po rt of the device.
