In dit hoofdstuk wordt beschreven hoe vers volbloed van patiënten met het Precision Xceed Pro systeem moet worden getest op
bloedglucose of bloed-β-ketonen. Iedere doos met teststrips bevat een bijsluiter met een uitgebreide gebruiksaanwijzing.
Gebruiksrichtlijnen voor alle monsters
Houd u aan de aanbevolen richtlijnen om zo nauwkeurig mogelijke resultaten te verkrijgen:
Draag bij het uitvoeren van tests met bloedmonsters van patiënten altijd handschoenen en houd u aan het beleid en de •
procedures voor biologisch gevaarlijk materiaal van uw instelling.
Zorg ervoor dat de meter en de teststrips op kamertemperatuur zijn. Als de meter verplaatst wordt naar een ruimte •
waar het warmer of koeler is dan in de ruimte waar de meter eerst was, laat de meter dan vóór het testen op de nieuwe
kamertemperatuur komen.
Gebruik voor het verifiëren van de werking van de Precision Xceed Pro meter uitsluitend controleoplossingen die in de •
bijsluiter bij de teststrips genoemd staan.
Gebruik uitsluitend Precision Xceed Pro bloedglucose- of bloed-β-ketonenteststrips. Er mogen ook Precision PCx Plus •
bloedglucoseteststrips in de Precision Xceed Pro meter worden gebruikt.
Raadpleeg de bijsluiter voor specifieke instructies over het bewaren en het gebruiken van de teststrips.•
Gebruik de teststrips niet na de vervaldatum op de folieverpakking en de buitendoos. •
Gebruik de teststrip niet als de folieverpakking aangeprikt of gescheurd is.•
Gebruik geen teststrips die nat, gebogen, bekrast of beschadigd zijn. Gebruik de teststrip meteen na het openen van de •
folieverpakking.
Gebruik elke teststrip slechts eenmaal. •
Gebruik altijd teststrips uit de verpakking waarvan u de streepjescode hebt gescand. Doet u dat niet, dan kunnen de •
resultaten onnauwkeurig zijn.
Breng een druppel bloed aan op het testvlak aan het uiteinde van de teststrip. Zorg ervoor dat het gehele testvlak met •
bloed wordt gevuld. Als het testvlak kort wordt aangeraakt door de vinger van de patiënt, een capillairbuisje, een spuit of
een pipet, dan heeft dat geen invloed op het testresultaat.
De teststrip mag niet meer worden verwijderd of verstoord nadat het bloed op de teststrip aangebracht is en het aftellen •
van de test begonnen is.
BELANGRIJK: Zorg ervoor dat er geen bloed of oplossing langs de teststrip de teststrippoort van
de meter inloopt. Gebeurt dat wel, dan kan de meter onherstelbaar beschadigd
raken.
