Inleiding

Belangrijk: Lees alle instructies in deze gebruikshandleiding en de bijsluiter van de verpakking van

de FreeStyle teststrips voordat u uw FreeStyle Navigator continu glucose-controlesysteem gebruikt.

Aanpassingen aan uw behandeling moeten plaatsvinden onder supervisie van uw zorgteam.

Uw FreeStyle Navigator systeem meet continu de glucosespiegel in de vloeistof die zich tussen de

cellen onder uw huid bevindt (interstitiële vloeistof), gee deze weer en slaat deze op. Dit gebeurt

met behulp van een kleine, dunne, kunststof sensor die net onder de huid wordt aangebracht.

Uw FreeStyle Navigator systeem voorziet u continu van real-time glucosemetingen. Doordat

u de beschikking hebt over zeer frequente glucosemetingen kunt u uw glucosespiegel controleren

en een patroon in uw glucosespiegels ontdekken. Dit helpt u en uw zorgteam te zien hoe factoren

zoals uw dieet, insuline, beweging en diabetesmedicatie van invloed zijn op uw glucosespiegel en

kan uw behandelingsplan hierop worden aangepast.

Uw FreeStyle Navigator systeem hee een aantal handige functies.
