Power-supply cord instructions

a) A short power-supply cord is to be provided to reduce risks result-

ing from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

b) Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised

in their use.

c) If extension cord is used:

1) The marked electrical rating of extension cord should be at

least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;

2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord

should be a grounding-type 3-wire cord; and

3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape

over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by

children or tripped over.

Instructions concernant le câble d’alimentation

a) Utiliser un câble d’alimentation court pour éviter de s’accrocher ou

de trébucher sur un câble plus long.

b) Faire attention lorsqu’on utilise une rallonge.

c) Si on utilise une rallonge, véri er que :

1) La tension indiquée sur la rallonge est au moins égale à celle de

l’appareil électroménager ;

2) Si l’appareil électroménager est équipé de mise à la terre, la

rallonge doit être pourvue d’une  che à trois broches avec mise

à la terre ;

3) Le câble le plus long doit être placé de sorte à ne pas pendre du

plan de travail ou de la table, a n d’empêcher les enfants de le

tirer ou de trébucher.
