Als het waarschuwingslampje
Y
gaat branden, betekent dit dat het
systeem een zelfdiagnose uitvoert
(bijvoorbeeld voor een spanningsval).

Neem contact op met de Ford-dealer
wanneer het probleem aanhoudt.
SYMBOLEN
Op of in de nabijheid van sommige
onderdelen van uw auto zijn speciale
gekleurde labels aangebracht. Op deze
labels staan symbolen die u herinneren
aan de voorzorgsmaatregelen met
betrekking tot dat onderdeel.
FORD CODE-SYSTEEM
Dit is een elektronische startblokkering
die diefstal van de auto helpt
voorkomen. De startblokkering wordt
automatisch geactiveerd wanneer de
sleutel uit het contact wordt gehaald.
Iedere keer dat de auto wordt gestart
door de sleutel naar de stand MAR te
draaien, stuurt de regeleenheid van het
Ford CODE-systeem een
bevestigingscode naar de motor-ECU
om de startblokkering uit te schakelen.
Als de code, tijdens het starten, niet
juist wordt herkend, gaat het lampje
Y
in het instrumentenpaneel branden.
Draai in dat geval de sleutel naar STOP
en vervolgens terug naar MAR.
Probeer de andere bijgeleverde sleutels
wanneer het probleem aanhoudt. Neem
contact op met een Ford-dealer
wanneer de motor vervolgens nog niet
gestart kan worden.
BELANGRIJK Iedere sleutel heeft een
eigen code die in het systeem van de
ECU opgeslagen moet worden. Neem
contact op met de Ford-dealer wanneer
u nieuwe sleutels (maximaal acht) in het
systeem wilt opslaan.
Wanneer de sleutel aan
hevige schokken wordt
blootgesteld, raken de
elektronische onderdelen in
de sleutel mogelijk beschadigd.
