La aportación de aire nuevo, cargado de oxígeno, es indispensable
para el funcionamiento correcto de una chimenea y para la seguridad
de las personas.
El aire nuevo procede ya sea directamente de fuera o de un cuarto
ventilado que no sea húmedo.
¿Cómo gestionar la aportación de aire nuevo en función de la
instalación y del modelo?
Algunos modelos de nuestra gama incorporan un mecanismo de
llegada de aire nuevo (véase manual individual), lo que le evita la
instalación de una rejilla visible en el cuarto. Este mecanismo de
aportación de aire nuevo debe obligatoriamente estar abierto desde
el inicio del fuego y hasta que se extinga completamente.
En el caso de que no se pueda conectarla directamente al hogar,
la llegada de aire se realizará mediante una rejilla colocada junto
al hogar. Es imprescindible dejar esta rejilla de ventilación libre
de cualquier obstrucción por algún objeto, por el lado exterior así
como en el cuarto.
El aire nuevo será naturalmente aspirado por el hogar funcionando
según sus necesidades. Si utiliza la chimenea al mismo tiempo
que otros aparatos de calefacción, hace falta usar un sistema de
ventilación adicional.
