A handlebar that is not securely
mounted can lead to serious falls and
injuries.
• Before starting to ride, always make
sure that the quick-release lever is
properly closed and the locking bolt
is properly engaged so that the han-
dlebar is stable and securely fas-
tened.

Rims and spokes
Uniform spoke tension stabilizes the concen-
tricity of the rim. If concentricity is impaired,
the rim may become unstable and break.
Tires
The tire and rim are usually not airtight, but
contain a tube filled with air. The exceptions
here are so-called tubular tires and UST
tires, which are airtight systems that do not
contain an additional bicycle tube.
On the tire sidewall there is usually an indi-
cation of the tire size (in mm or II).
Tire pressure
The tire pressure influences the rolling resis-
tance and the suspension of your e-bike. In
most cases, two values are indicated on
the tires as the default for the maximum tire
pressure. The lower value applies to light-
weight cyclists and cycling on uneven sur-
faces. The higher value applies to heavier
cyclists and cycling on level ground.
Valve types
The valve is used to fill the tube/tire with air.
You will need the appropriate valve plug or
adapter for inflation, depending on the valve
type.
