13.3.3 Inserting/removing the

battery from below

Important: Depending on the

model, lock the battery to the e-bike

with a battery lock (including a key)

or with a screw connection. The tool

for loosening or tightening the screw

connection is stored by magnetic

holder on the rear wheel axle when

not in use.

Important: The battery should be

removed or inserted using an

assembly stand. Alternatively, if

there is no assembly stand availa-

ble, the e-bike can be carefully pla-

ced on its side. When placed on its

side, the e-bike should be on a level

surface and tilted towards the non-

drive side. Take care not to damage

any components when putting the

e-bike on its side. Only place the

e-bike on a soft surface.

Inserting the battery with the assembly

stand

1. To insert the battery, place the battery in

the lower holder of the frame with the con-

tacts and the discharge plug facing up.

2. Push the battery into the down tube until

you feel resistance.

3. Keep holding the battery firmly, insert the

locking pin and tighten the screw connec-

tion using the screwdriving tool.

Inserting the battery – lateral ground

position

1. To insert the battery, place the battery

in the lower holder of the frame with the

contacts and the discharge plug facing

up.

2. Push the battery approx. three-quarters

into the down tube.

3. Hold the battery firmly and bring the

e-bike into an upright position by lifting it

using the side strut. Now slide the battery

completely into the down tube until you

feel some resistance.

4. Insert the locking pin and tighten the

screw connection using the screwdriving

tool.
