5.13 Lights
Switchinglowbeam/daytimerunninglight
A sensor built into the headlight automatically
controls switching between low beam/daytime
running light if the headlight has this function.
FLYER with pedal assist over 25 km/h with main beam
Basic setting: when the system is activated, the
low beam/daytime running light is automatically
switched on.
The headlight on S-pedelecs with 45 km/h cannot
beswitchedo󰀨.Thelightswitchhasnofunction
on the Goroc X S-pedelec.

5.14 Electricmotor
Howtheelectricmotorworks
The motor starts working as soon as you start pe-
daling when one of the assistance levels has been
selected.
The performance of the motor depends on seve-
ral factors:
• The force used while pedaling
The assistance is more gentle when you pedal with
low force than when you pedal with higher force,
e.g. while riding uphill. However, this increases the
power consumption and decreases the range.
• Assistance mode
The higher the level of assistance, the more po-
wer the motor will provide. However, high motor
performance means high power consumption.
The lowest assistance mode provides the least
assistance, but also the longest range.
Range
Anyspeciedrangeinformationisusuallyobtained
under optimal conditions. Ranges achieved under
everyday conditions will usually be shorter.
Please consider this when planning your trip.
The range depends on many factors. These inclu-
de battery capacity, motor assistance level selec-
ted, geographical conditions, road surface, riding
style, environmental temperature, the weight of
the rider, tire pressure and the technical state of
your FLYER e-bike.
Extreme ambient temperatures may reduce the
range. The operating temperature should be kept
within the range of -5 degrees to 40 degrees.
Ridingwithoutdriveassistance
You can also ride your FLYER without drive as-
sistance by selecting the assistance level “OFF”.
However, you must ensure that your system is
always switched on.
Speedsensor
The speed sensor is used to show the speed in
the FLYER display and correctly calculate the as-
sistance needed.
The speed sensor and the associated spoke
magnet must be fastened on the S-pedelec so
that the distance between the spoke magnet and
the marking position on the speed sensor is 1 to
5mm.Ifthedistanceisdi󰀨erent,anerrormessa-
ge will appear.
