Charger: Do not expose the charger to
rain or wet environments. If water enters
the charger, there is a risk of electric shock.
Only charge FLYER lithium-ion batte-
ries that are approved for e-bikes. The
battery voltage must match the battery
charging voltage of the charger. If it does
not,thereisariskofreandexplosion.
Keep the charger clean. Dirt increases
the risk of an electric shock.
Check the charger, cable and plug before
every use. Do not use the charger if you
discover any damage. Never open the
charger. Damaged chargers, cables and
plugs increase the risk of an electric shock.
Never operate the charger when it is
standing on a highly ammable base
(e.g. paper, textiles etc.) or in a am-
mable environment. The heat produced
by the charger during charging leads to
arerisk.Becarefulwhentouching
the charger during charging. Wear pro-
tective gloves. The charger can become
very hot, particularly at high ambient
temperatures. Do not leave the e-bike
battery unattended during charging.
Supervise children during its use,
cleaning and maintenance. This ensures
that children do not play with the charger
like a toy. Children and persons who are
unable to operate the charger safely on
account of reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experien-
ce and knowledge may not be allowed to
use the charger unsupervised or without
instruction by a responsible person.
There is otherwise a risk of its incorrect
operation and injuries.
Display:Do not allow yourself to be dis-
tracted by what is shown on the display.
Ifyoudonotconcentratefullyontra󰀩c,
you risk becoming involved in an acci-
dent.
Do not open the on-board computer. The
on-board computer can be damaged if it
is opened and any warranty claims will
be forfeited.
Do not use the on-board computer as a
handle. If you lift the e-bike by the on-
board computer it could be irreparably
damaged.
Do not turn the e-bike upside.down on
its handlebars and saddle if the on-
board computer or its holder protrude
beyond the handlebars. The on-board
computer or holder could su󰀨er irrepa-
rable damage. Remove the on-board
computer before clamping the e-bike in
an assembly stand so that it does not fall
o󰀨andisnotdamaged.
Caution! Using the on-board computer
with Bluetooth® can cause a disturbance
in other devices and equipment, aircraft
and medical devices (e.g. pacemakers,
hearing aids). Nor can any injury to hu-
mans and animals in the immediate sur-
roundings be fully ruled out. Do not use
the on-board computer with Bluetooth®
near medical devices, lling stations,
chemical plants, areas where there is
a risk of explosions and in blasting
areas. Avoid operating the on-board
computer for prolonged periods of time
very close to your body.
The on-board computer has a wireless in-
terface. Pay attention to any local restric-
tions on its use, e.g. in or near hospitals.
The electric drive system built into your
FLYER e-bike is extremely powerful.
Correct and safe operation requires you
to have your FLYER regularly main-
tained by a specialist dealer.
Immediately remove the battery when
you notice damage to the electrical sys-
tem, particularly when live parts are ex-
posed after an accident. Always contact
your FLYER specialist dealer when you
require repairs, want to ask a question,
have a problem or discover a defect.
A lack of technical knowledge can lead
to severe accidents, injuries or damage.
The FLYER was designed for driving
with the motor. Never drive without
abatteryorwiththesystemswitchedo󰀨,
as no light will be available without the
battery or system.
Your FLYER has an automatic protection
against overheating. In the event of
overheating, this protection will switch
o󰀨themotorfunctionuntilthemotorhas
reached a non-critical temperature.
The remaining functions are continued,
e.g. you can still drive with the lights on.
