Taking temperature measurements:
• Make sure the device will be used inside the same room (not outside, no winds) each time.
• Press the ON/OFF button 1x short to power ON, the LCD display shows all readings.
• Then point it to the center front head body (above the eyebrows) and keep it vertical or select
an object and press the measuring button (on/off button 1x)
• A “BEEP” sound will be heard after measuring and LCD displays measuring reading, and
backlight green, yellow or red (one of three colors) will be shown according to measuring
results as displayed.
• Auto OFF after 30 seconds no use!
TIP:
Only take measurements while not eating, drinking, or being active!
A person’s body temperature varies by the time of day and is also affected by other external
conditions s
uch as age, sex, skin color, etc.
Do not measure inside the eardrum!
If need to re-measure please wait for 10sec minimum.
Do not hold the device for a long time, as it is sensitive for heat.
Attention display warning:
• No fever: LCD backlight is green.
• Mild fever: LCD backlight is yellow.
• High fever: LCD backlight is red with alarm sound
NOTE:
1. When measuring, point thermometer towards the object that you will measure and press the
measuring button. The body or object being tested should be larger than the spot size calculated by the
field of view.
2. Distance & spot size: As the distance from the object increases, the spot size of measuring area
becomes larger.
3. Field of view: Make sure the target is larger than the unit’s spot size. The smaller the target the
shorter the measuring distance. When accuracy is critical, make sure the target is at least twice as large
