1. Snelkoken kort uitgelegd
Het basisprincipe van het snelkoken is sinds het invoeren van de eerste snelkookpan niet veranderd. In een goed
afgesloten pan wordt het voedsel onder druk bij temperaturen van meer dan 100 °C gaar gekookt omdat de
overdruk die in de pan ontstaat ervoor zorgt dat het kookpunt van het water hoger wordt. Daardoor worden de
kooktijden aanzienlijk korter. Koken met de snelkookpan bespaart daarom zeer veel (kook-)tijd; gemiddeld zelfs
ongeveer 70 procent.

Omdat de schadelijke luchtzuurstof buiten de pan blijft en de kooktijden zeer kort zijn, wordt het voedsel op een
zeer vriendelijke manier gaar. Vergeleken met het normale koken blijven vitamines, mineralen en aroma’s aanzienlijk
beter bewaard. En dat proef je ook: het voedsel behoudt zijn verrassend krachtige, eigen smaak.

  • The pressure valve does not rise and steam escaping around it. All parts are new. This happened after mistakenly did not have lid locked on and cooker was on with steam escaping and no pressure. When I corrected lid and locked it properly this problem occurred. Please advise.
