START-/CONTACTSLOT
De sleutel kan in 4 standen worden ge-
draaid fig. 9:
❒
STOP: motor uit, sleutel uitneembaar,
stuurslot ingeschakeld. Enkele elektri-
sche installaties werken (bijv. auto-
radio, centrale portiervergrendeling).
❒
MAR: contact aan. Alle elektrische in-
stallaties werken.
❒
AVV: motor starten (stand zonder
vergrendeling).
❒
PARK: motor uit, parkeerverlichting
aan, stuur geblokkeerd. Druk om de
sleutel in stand PARK te kunnen
draaien, op de knop A.
Het contactslot is voorzien van een her-
startbeveiliging. Als de motor bij de eer-
ste poging niet aanslaat, moet u de sleu-
tel terugdraaien in stand STOP en nog-
maals starten.
STUURSLOT
Inschakelen
Zet de sleutel in stand STOP, trek de
sleutel uit het start-/contactslot en draai
het stuur totdat het vergrendelt.
Uitschakelen
Draai het stuur iets heen en weer, terwijl
u de sleutel in stand MAR draait.
Als het start-/contactslot is
geforceerd (bijv. bij een po-
ging tot diefstal) moet u, voordat u
weer met de auto gaat rijden, de wer-
king van het slot laten controleren bij
de Fiat-dealer.
ATTENTIE
Neem altijd de sleutel uit het
contactslot als de auto
wordt verlaten, om onvoorzichtig ge-
bruik van de bedieningsknoppen/-
hendels te voorkomen. Vergeet niet
de handrem aan te trekken. Schakel
de eerste versnelling in als de auto op
een helling omhoog staat en de ach-
teruit bij een helling omlaag (gezien
vanuit de rijrichting). Laat kinderen
nooit alleen achter in de auto.

Verwijder de sleutel nooit uit
het contactslot als de auto
nog in beweging is. Bij de eerste stuur-
uitslag blokkeert het stuur automa-
tisch. Dit geldt in alle gevallen, ook
als de auto gesleept wordt.
ATTENTIE
Het is streng verboden om
de-/montagewerkzaamhe-
den uit te voeren, waarvoor wijzigin-
gen in de stuurinrichting of de stuur-
kolom vereist zijn (bijv. bij montage
van een diefstalbeveiliging). Hierdoor
kunnen de prestaties van het systeem,
de garantie en de veiligheid in gevaar
worden gebracht en voldoet de auto
niet meer aan de typegoedkeuring.
