FIAT DUCATO NATURAL POWER
2) Mechanische drukbeveiliging (Burst
Disk) die er, bij een te hoge druk (boven
330 bar), voor zorgt dat het methaan ge-
controleerd en zo snel mogelijk wordt af-
geblazen.
3) Te hoge gasstroom, grijpt in als de
leidingen openbarsten door de methaan-
stroom te beperken tot een ongevaarlij-
ke waarde is bereikt.
De stroombegrenzingsklep is zodanig ge-
plaatst dat de klep ook werkt als het mag-
neetkleppenhuis is beschadigd als gevolg
van een botsing.
MAGNEETKLEPPEN/
VEILIGHEIDSSYSTEMEN
De magneetkleppen fig. 2 zijn recht-
streeks op de methaantanks gemonteerd
en hebben als belangrijkste taak de me-
thaanstroom naar het brandstofcircuit te
onderbreken.
De magneetkleppen zijn geopend als:

e druk in de gastank voldoende hoog
is voor het systeem om te werken;
❒
de motor draait;
❒
de brandstofnoodschakelaar niet is ge-
activeerd.
De magneetklepunit is voorzien van de
volgende beveiligingen:
1) Smeltveiligheid, als de temperatuur
te hoog wordt (boven 110 °C), is het ge-
vaar van een te hoge druk niet meer aan-
wezig omdat het methaan in de gastank,
gecontroleerd en zo snel mogelijk, wordt
afgeblazen.
4) Handbediende afsluiter, deze be-
vindt zich voor de magneetklep.
Deze onderbreekt de verbinding tussen
de gastank en het methaansysteem als on-
derhoud moet worden uitgevoerd.
De ventielen kunnen vanaf de buitenzijde
van de auto worden bediend en bevinden
zich aan de linkerkant.
